Our 7 Month Trackhawk Update And Dyno Results

We are going into our 7th month of ownership of our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and are long overdue for giving you guys an update. If you are a regular reader of the site you might remember that we bought this Trackhawk back in September of last year as a leftover brand new 2018 model to replace our 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320.

In the past 7 months, I have racked up 16,000 kilometers (10k miles) and have been extremely happy with my purchase every step of the way. Other than eating the supercharger belt at 13k kilometers this Trackhawk has been problem-free, only needing routine oil changes and gas… lots and lots of gas.

Our Trackhawk has been from Vancouver, B.C all the way out to Toronto, Ontario where we attended our friend Dave Hayes’ SRT Demon event just a few weeks after purchase. Other than that it has been my pseudo daily driver as I split my time between it and our long term 2016 Ram 1500 Sport which I just traded in on a 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn EcoDiesel to use as a long term test truck for 5thgenrams.com and this site.

So far we have added a Z Automotive Tazer and a JLT Cold Air Intake and Catch Can. Thanks to Joe Kincaid over at Killer Chiller and our friend Charles we have a Killer Chiller that we will be installing soon. After that, plans are to do a pulley and a tune along with possibly fuel injectors depending on how far I decide to push it.

Make sure to watch the video above for some fantastic exhaust note and supercharger whine, and if you make it to the end there’s even a 0-60 run in there.
