Long-Term Update: 2016 Ram 1500 Sport Crew Cab 4×4:

How Is Our Long Term Ram Holding Up After 50,000km & 2.5 Years Later?

It’s been just over 2.5 years since I’ve bought my 2016 Ram 1500 Sport. In that time I have racked up over 52,000 kilometers (or about 32,300 miles) on it over many various conditions. Just last summer I put about 7,000 kilometers (4,350 miles) on it in roughly a week driving from Vancouver, B.C to Thunder Bay, Ontario and back. You can read that long term update here.

During this 6 month period, the truck has continued to be flawless, only returning to the dealer for an oil change at the 50,000-kilometer (about 31,500 miles) mark. In this time I used the truck to move, towing a large U-Haul trailer that was completely full which the truck just shrugged off. It was also used for a few shorter road trips including taking me and a few friends from the suburbs of Vancouver up to Whistler, B.C just days before this video was shot and the writing of this article.

We have some modifications planned for this truck as I would like to upgrade the headlights to the new Morimoto XB headlights, I would also like to swap the taillights for 2019 Ram HD taillights when adapter harnesses are available. Inside I would like to upgrade the UConnect head unit with a newer UConnect 4C head unit with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. I do have some performance mods planned as well and we should hopefully be receiving our long term 2019 Dodge Challenger 1320 shortly!

During this period:

Maintenance: Oil Change at 50,000km
Problem areas: None
