Vauxhall Unveils Sporty New ‘GS’ Trim for 2025 Vivaro
Stylish GS Trim Brings Enhanced Design and Comfort to the Vivaro Lineup...
Stellantis’ Vauxhall brand recently gave its compact 2025 Vivaro van a fresh, sporty appearance with the introduction of a new ‘GS’ trim level. While this isn’t the first time the Vivaro has received the ‘GS’ designation, it caught our attention because sources suggest that the next-generation Ram ProMaster City, set to debut in 2026, will be based on the same architecture—raising the possibility of a sporty variant for the Ram model.
Enhanced Exterior Styling –
The GS trim transforms the Vivaro into a dynamic and eye-catching vehicle. Exclusive styling features include a front lip spoiler for greater road presence, sleek side skirts with integrated front mudguards, and a Piano Black rear spoiler. The rear bumper has also been redesigned to complement the sporty upgrades. Vauxhall fitted the Vivaro with unique Y-spoke 18-inch aluminum wheels, fitted with high-load capacity Nankang tires, complete the look, and a distinctive rear GS badge.
Upgraded Interior Features –
Inside, the Vivano GS combines practicality and comfort. It comes equipped with eco-leather seats, embossed with the GS logo, and finished with bold red stitching. The seats use perforated material for ventilation and are engineered for durability, including resistance to tearing, color fading, and moisture.
Powertrain Options –
The Vivaro GS is available in two body styles—Panel Van and Doublecab—and two premium colors: Quartz Silver and Mercury Grey. Customers can choose between diesel and electric powertrains:
- Electric Powertrain: The Vivaro Electric GS features a 75kWh battery and a 136PS (134 horsepower) electric motor, offering a range of up to 209 miles (336 kilometers) WLTP Combined. With 100kW DC fast charging, the battery can be recharged from 5% to 80% in just 45 minutes.
- Diesel Powertrain: The diesel option includes a 2.0-liter Turbo D engine available in 145PS (143 horsepower) with a 6-speed manual transmission or 180PS (177 horsepower) paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Additional Features and Safety –
Building on the Pro trim level, the GS trim includes the Comfort Pack and Winter Pack. These include dual-zone electronic climate control, keyless entry and start, wireless smartphone charging, a heated leather steering wheel, a heated driver’s seat, and thorax side airbags. The infotainment system includes a 10-inch HD touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto™, and integrated navigation.
Safety features include blind-spot detection, front and rear parking sensors, a Visiopark 180° rear camera, and ECO LED headlights. Practical elements such as the FlexCargo load-through bulkhead and a fold-flat center seat backrest are also included.
Connection to Ram ProMaster City –
As Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis expressed interest in adding a van to the lineup, sources close to MoparInsiders have indicated that the Fiat E-Scudo, built on the same Stellantis EMP2 platform as the Vivaro, could be rebadged as the Ram ProMaster City for North America. The ProMaster City is expected to feature the 75kWh battery pack and a 136PS (134 horsepower) electric motor, making it a strong contender in the compact commercial van segment.
If the Vivaro GS is any indication, the future ProMaster City will bring advanced features, strong performance, and a sporty aesthetic to U.S. customers.
