The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Takes Top Honors In SUV Design:

Stelvio Takes Best Design For Large Off-Road Vehicles/SUV Category...

The design of the 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio has captivated the readers of the German magazine Auto, Motor und Sport.  Those readers chose Stelvio as the winner of its “Large Off-Road Vehicles/SUV” category in the annual “Autonis” vote. The style of the Stelvio, which is one of the sportier models in its segment, is the result of the work from the FCA design team at the Centro Stile Alfa Romeo.

“We are honored to receive the prestigious ‘Autonis’ award for the Alfa Romeo Stelvio from Auto, Motor und Sport magazine, as the best-in-class SUV. This award is a recognition of Italian style and our Alfa Romeo design language, which combines grand proportions with distinctive elements and beautiful hand-sculpted surfaces.” said Klaus Busse, Design Director, FCA EMEA. Along with Stelvio, Auto, Motor und Sport has already awarded the Giulia, MiTo, and Giulietta models as the most beautiful cars in their respective classes. And two years in a row, the award for ‘Design Brand of the Year’ went to Alfa Romeo.” said Busse.

There were 16,182 readers of Auto, Motor und Sport magazine, as well as users of the digital offers, who voted for about 100 different vehicles in 10 categories in the “Autonis” competition. The result within the category is a balance of pass and fail for each model. In each category, the two most beautiful models and the two models that the readers do not like are chosen. The ranking of the winners is determined by subtracting the negative responses from the positive responses. The 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio took home the win in the “Large Off-Road Vehicles/SUV” category with 20.4% of the vote.
