This morning, we told you about the new Chrysler Airflow Vision Concept that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is bringing to this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will join the Fiat Concept Centoventi hybrid, in its first North American debut after being shown at the Geneva Motor Show last year.
But, that isn’t all from FCA. The automaker is debuting a trio of new Jeep® brand plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), which kick off the brand’s goal of offering electrification options by 2022 on all Jeep models.
CES will mark the first time that the public will get to see the all-new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited PHEV in its production form. Our spy photographers have been chasing the new model around Metro Detroit for over a year now, but while the brand will show off the vehicle, we doubt they will release much information.
The new electrified Wrangler will join the recently unveiled Jeep Compass PHEV and Renegade PHEV on stage at CES. All of these new vehicles will carry the new “Jeep 4xe” badges. This badge will be placed on all plug-in models from the brand in the future.
Electrification, including the upcoming no-compromise Jeep 4xe vehicles, will modernize the Jeep brand as it strives to become the leader in “green” eco-friendly premium technology. Jeep electric vehicles will be the most efficient and responsible Jeep vehicles ever, providing absolute and quiet open-air freedom while taking performance, 4×4 capability and driver confidence to the next level. With greater torque and immediate engine response, Jeep electric vehicles will offer an even more fun-to-drive experience on the road and more capability than ever off the road.
Additional information about the Jeep Wrangler, Compass and Renegade 4xe vehicles, which debut this year, will be provided at the Geneva, New York, and Beijing auto shows, so stay tuned as we will bring you all of the information as it breaks.
So what do you think of the new “Jeep 4xe” nameplate? Which new Jeep plug-in hybrid electric vehicle are you most excited about? Leave your comments below.
