The 2022 Fiat Mobi Gets Even More Economical For The New Model Year!
Meets New Emissions Guidelines, Continues To Prove 500 Isn't The Only City Car Worth Looking At...
The South-American-built 2022 Fiat Mobi has arrived with updates for the new model year. The Mobi has proven to be a modern, practical, and efficient city car that has already become one of the most economical models in Brazil. Proving that the 500 Cinquecento is not the only successful city car in the FIAT global portfolio.
For 2022, the Mobi now comes standard with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (iTPMS). Something that has been implemented on most vehicles throughout the world, is now becoming a standard feature on the automaker’s entry-level models.
Also new for 2022, the Fiat Mobi’s 1.0-liter Fire EVO inline-four-cylinder engine now meets the new Proconve L-7 (PL7) emission standards. The update also allowed the engine to improve on its consumption of fuel for both gasoline and ethanol (a popular choice in Brazil) in both city and highway mileage. The update was good enough for an improvement of 7.9% and was possible due to the new adjustments to the electronic management of the engine, allowing consumption of up to 15 km/l (35.2 mpg) on the highway. That means that the Mobi can run more than 700 kilometers (435 miles) on its 47 liter (12.4 gallon) fuel tank.
The downside of the update was that the Fire EVO engine did between 1 to 2 horsepower, depending on the fuel chosen. The 1.0-liter now delivers 71 horsepower (down from 73 horsepower) on gasoline and 74 horsepower (down from 75 horsepower) on ethanol.
For those customers who use ethanol gasoline, the Mobi will have even faster starts due to a new fuel preheating system, which eliminates the need for the auxiliary tank of gasoline in the engine safe. It is activated by sensors that detect when the outside temperature is low and heats up the ethanol before it is burned in the engine. This technology facilitates ignition and reduces pollutant emissions.
The 2022 Fiat Mobi comes with a wide list of standard features, including air-conditioning, power steering, power windows and locks, ABS brakes, and dual airbags. Customers can also opt for the multifunction steering wheel with audio controls, Bluetooth with connection for up to two smartphones, and a 7-inch Uconnect infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability.
In 2021, the Mobi was the best-selling car in its category and the fifth best-selling vehicle in the country of Brazil.
The 2022 Fiat Mobi is available in 5 exterior colors, Black Vulcan, White Bank, Red Montecarlo, Silver Bari, and Silverstone Gray.
The 2022 Fiat Mobi is currently available in a number of countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Uraguay to name a few.
