In the past few days, the Ram 1500 Classic received the “Highest Resale Value Award,” recognizing vehicles with the lowest depreciation after one year of use. With an -8.8% depreciation rate, the Classic was named the pickup with the least amount of depreciation. Ram received this award during Autoinforme’s 10th annual awards ceremony. The “Highest Resale Value Award” analyzed 93 models in 22 categories between September 2022 and August 2023.

Produced at the Saltillo Truck Assembly Plant in Mexico (alongside the Ram 2500/3500), the Ram 1500 Classic is available in two variants: the Laramie and Laramie Night Edition. Ram continues to market it as an entry-level muscle truck.

In Brazil, the Ram 1500 Classic offers only one engine choice: the 5.7-liter (345 cubic-inch) HEMI® V8. As the most powerful pickup in Brazil, it shares its engine with the Ram 1500 Rebel (DT), delivering 400 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque and is paired to a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic tranmission.

“It is very gratifying to witness the excellent performance that Ram has demonstrated this year, achieving our goal of expanding the brand’s reach. Ram Classic has consistently surprised consumers since its launch, and receiving this important recognition fills us with pride,” says Breno Kamei, Vice President of Ram Brazil.
