In a celebration of performance and customization, Mopar, the global name for Stellantis genuine parts and authentic accessories, is set to introduce its latest limited-edition factory-vehicle customization program – the Mopar ’23 Dodge Challenger and Charger.
Based on the Challenger and Charger R/T Scat Pack Widebody vehicles, these special-edition models showcase unique, performance-oriented looks inside and out, destined to captivate performance enthusiasts and collectors alike. With only 220 units of each model being produced, including a mere 20 units for the Canadian market, the Mopar ’23 lineup is set to be an exclusive and highly sought-after offering.
Striking Design
Both the Mopar ’23 Challenger and Charger models will be available exclusively in Pitch Black Clear Coat, featuring distinctive matte-black graphics and eye-catching Mopar Blue tracer stripes adorning the hood, roof, and decklid. The bold exterior appearance is further accentuated by a bespoke Mopar Blue grille badge, Mopar Blue brake calipers complementing forged carbon-black wheels, and Mopar valve stem caps. Notably, an all-new carbon-fiber decklid spoiler is making its debut solely on the Mopar ’23 models, adding an extra touch of sophistication and aerodynamic prowess.
Enhanced Performance
Under the hood, both the Mopar ’23 Challenger and Charger boast the powerful 6.4-liter (392 cubic-inch) HEMI® V8 engine, delivering best-in-class 485 naturally aspirated horsepower. For driving purists, the Mopar ’23 Challenger offers the revered Tremec 6-speed manual transmission as standard, while the proven TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission is available on the Mopar ’23 Challenger and comes standard on the Mopar ’23 Charger.
To complement the impressive powertrain, both models feature the Standard Widebody Package with a host of performance upgrades. These include 20-inch x 11-inch forged-aluminum wheels finished in Carbon Black, body-color fender flares that add 3.5 inches of width to accommodate Pirelli P Zero 305/35ZR20 summer performance tires, and an SRT-tuned Widebody competition suspension with Bilstein three-mode adaptive damping, ensuring maximum grip and speed in every corner.
Luxurious Interior
The interior of the Mopar ’23 models offers a blend of sportiness and refinement. Each vehicle will bear a serialized Mopar instrument-panel badge, signifying its unique status. The Alpine Audio Group ensures a premium sound experience, while the Carbon Suede Interior Package adds real carbon fiber accents and a suede headliner for an elevated ambiance.
Moreover, the Plus Package content includes Scat Pack logos on the back of black Nappa/Alcantara material combination seats, a heated, flat-bottom, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power tilt/telescoping steering column, heated and ventilated front seats, premium stitched dashboard panel, bright pedals, and Mopar locking lug nuts. For additional flair, the Mopar Interior Appearance Group includes bright door sills and premium floor and trunk mats with Mopar logos.
Exclusivity and Ownership
The exclusivity of the Mopar ’23 Challenger and Charger models is further amplified by their limited production. Only 220 units of each model will be available, with 200 vehicles allocated for the U.S. market and just 20 vehicles for Canada. Each buyer will receive a coveted Mopar ’23 owner kit, comprising a custom-made, personalized metal certificate of authenticity with a serialized vehicle-build number, accompanied by a special rendering of the vehicle by the Mopar design team.
Production starts in September with deliveries expected to begin in October. The Mopar ’23 Special Edition Package will add an additional $3,995 in the U.S. to the Scat Pack Widebody, while Canadian prices have yet to be released.
