If you are in the Metro Detroit area this weekend, our friends at M1 Concourse have a lot of stuff going on for car enthusiasts. The 87-acre playground for auto enthusiasts will be hosting a Cars & Coffee event on Saturday, May 11th, and hosting an Open Track Day event on Sunday, May 12th on their 1.5-mile Champion Motor Speedway course.
The Cars & Coffee events at M1 Concourse, are some of the biggest (if not the biggest) in the Metro Detroit area. Cars from across the state, Ohio, Indiana, and from Ontario, Canada come to join in the festivities. It doesn’t matter if you want to see exotics, modern, rare, off-the-wall, custom, and the unique vehicles from all brands, including the Mopar brands, this is one of the events to go to. It is also common to see the heads of the different car brands roaming the grounds and checking out what people are doing to their vehicles.
The Cars & Coffee event is open to everyone and all makes and models. The event is free and the gates will open at 8:30am and the event will go till 11:00am. For more information, you can check out the M1 Concourse May 11th Cars & Coffee Facebook page. MoparInsiders.com will be there as well and will be covering the event with Live Streams on our Facebook page.
M1 Concourse is also home to a secure community of 250+ Private Garages. Those garages have access to the awesome Champion Motor Speedway on the grounds. A few times a year, M1Concourse opens the track to the public to drive their cars flat-out on the only professionally designed road course in suburban Metro Detroit. Champion Motor Speedway winds its way through the M1 Concourse site as though it’s been there for generations. The developers worked closely with renowned track designer, Martyn Thake, to leverage the unique topography of the site.
