The Dodge//SRT brand is known for its brightly colored muscle car lineup. Throughout the past 15 years, the Dodge//SRT brand has re-introduced modern takes on classic colors like F8 Green, B5 Blue, Sublime, Plum Crazy, Go ManGo, just to name a few. The American performance has also created some modern classics like Destroyer Gray, IndiGo Blue, Frostbite, Hellraisin, and Smoke Show.
One particular color this year, that got a lot of attention was “Gold Rush”. Originally called “Fortuno’s Gold” when it debuted at the 13th annual SoCal LX Springfest back in 2018 after the event’s founder, Gold Rush finally was added to the production lineup last year on the Challenger 50th Anniversary Limited Edition.
For the 2021 model year, Gold Rush was originally announced as a new color option exclusively for Challenger high-performance models like the T/A 392, Hellcat, and Hellcat Redeye variants. It didn’t take long for Charger fans to start expressing their interest, so Dodge//SRT announced that Gold Rush would be available on Charger R/T, Scat Pack, Scat Pack Widebody, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye models. All Gold Rush cars had to be equipped with a Satin Black hand-painted hood, roof, and decklid.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Thanks to our dealer connections, we know that at the end of this month, production will end with this unique color.
With the ongoing pandemic, semi-conductor shortage, as well as a plastic shortage for the automotive industry, it is already hard enough to get a car ordered the way you want it. So for those who looking to custom order a Gold Rush-colored Charger or Challenger, this is your absolute chance to do so.
You can contact your local Dodge//SRT dealer for more information on allocation and ordering questions.
