Snap-on Tools Extends Its Partnership With Cruz Pedregon Racing

Will Sponsor Dodge Charger Funny Car Until End Of 2026 Season...

While Dodge NHRA Funny Car driver Matt Hagan clinched his fourth NHRA Funny Car title at Pomona this past weekend, another major announcement came from another Dodge NHRA Funny Car team. Cruz Pedregon Racing revealed that they and their primary sponsor, Snap-on Tools, had extended their sponsorship agreement for the team’s Dodge Charger SRT HELLCAT Funny Car through the 2026 season.

The partnership between Cruz and Snap-on Tools traces back to 1992 when they first joined forces and has remained steadfast, even during Cruz’s 2001 season as a television analyst for ESPN. He returned in 2002 with full sponsorship from Snap-on Tools and has maintained it ever since.

“I never imagined reaching this point. I mentioned to John Force the other day that I thought I’d race against him for just a couple of years, and that would be it,” Pedregon said. “The fact that he and I are the only ones left racing from the early 1990s is a blessing.

“I’m not particularly religious, but I do believe that this Snap-on deal is a stroke of luck. I’m immensely proud of this. I don’t take it for granted. It involves a lot of hard work. I recall listening to Kenny Bernstein and his advice on maintaining these relationships. You have to underpromise and overdeliver. That’s what I strive to do.”

“Racing enthusiasts recognize Cruz as a fierce competitor whose name is synonymous with drag racing. As the primary sponsor of his team, we at Snap-on acknowledge him for being a brand champion since 1992,” remarked Randy Stewart of Snap-on Motorsports. “When a partnership spans three decades like ours, we’re fortunate to celebrate numerous milestones together, from Cruz’s initial win in a nitro Funny Car to his current position as the returning champ of last year’s Finals.

“Snap-on values Cruz’s efforts in building a strong, single-car team that consistently finishes each season with strength. We eagerly anticipate our continued partnership and take pride in supporting Cruz and NHRA drag racing,” Stewart concluded.

Over his carrer, Pedregon has achieved two championship and a total of 36 Funny Car wins.
