The Jeep® brand is known for bringing numerous special edition or “buzz” models to fold across its lineup. The Jeep Renegade is no different, despite being the smallest offering for the brand. While we have talked about the Jeepster and Islander special editions that will be part of the American and Canadian markets, however, there is one buzz model that will be arriving in the Mexican market that will not be available in the rest of North America.
Enter the 2021 Jeep Renegade Bronze Edition. Based on the Limited model, the Renegade Bronze Edition incorporates a unique Deep Brown exterior color with Bronze and Black accents for the grille and badges, Bronze finished 19-inch aluminum wheels, and a unique Deep Brown colored interior. Each of the Bronze Editions will feature the CommandView dual-panoramic sunroof.
The Renegade Bronze Edition will be the fourth model offered in the Mexican Renegade lineup, behind the Sport, Latitude, and Limited models.
Accompanying the launch of the Renegade Bronze Edition, VANS Mexico is celebrating by presenting the 66 Supply collection, a versatile variety of clothing and accessories for men and women, which gives a twist to the classic Military green combined with bright colors such as magenta or vibrant yellow in garments full of details with all the Off The Wall style. The 66 Supply collection is designed for those explorers or creative who need comfortable shoes and garments with multiple cargo pockets to store accessories and tools that they use in their day to day without having to stop reflecting their personal style in their outfits.
When it comes to the interior of the Renegade Bronze Edition, it features an exclusive Deep Brown leather interior and Deep Brown door panels. In addition, the Bronze Edition also features dual-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch thin-film-transistor (TFT) cluster, passive entry with Keyless Enter ‘n Go™ start button, under the passenger seat storage, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Powering the Renegade Bronze Edition is a 1.8-liter E-Torq inline-four-cylinder engine. The 1.8-liter, which is not offered in the United States or Canada, delivers 130 horsepower and 134 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and achieves 14.29 km / l or 33.6 mpg.
The 2021 Jeep Renegade Bronze Edition has a Mexican Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $489,900 MXN (or about $24,332 USD). That means the Renegade Bronze Edition will have the same starting price as the Limited trim in the Mexican market.
