SPOTTED: NAFTA 2019 Jeep Renegade Limited 4X4:

Caught Out And About In Metro Detroit...

A few weeks ago, Jeep showed off the 2019 Jeep Renegade in its Euro-spec form to the public at the 2018 Turin Auto Show in Italy. It gave us our first look to see the vehicle behind the camouflage from all those spy photos on the internet and see what the Jeep brand had in mind for a mid-cycle refresh.

For those of us, who live in the North American market the details surrounding our version of the 2019 Jeep Renegade have been vague. According to spy photos, we were supposed to get a version of the update Renegade similar to the European model. Well our friends at Real Fast Fotography, have caught the first completely naked North American market 2019 Jeep Renegade on public roads in very early hours of the morning.

This model is the Renegade Limited, which is the top-of-the-line on-road based model. Here you can see like its European counterpart, the Renegade gets much of the same looks up front with its newly squared off front fascia. Gone are the cartoonish looks of the Renegade, to make the vehicle look more upscale and civilized. You can see that the Limited will have optional LED headlights with LED halo signature lighting similar to the 2018 Jeep Wrangler (JL) models. We are told that these headlights will only be available on Limited and Trailhawk models.

Looking at the back of the 2019 Renegade, we see like the European model that Renegade gets a physical handle at the lower part of the liftgate. One thing absent however from the rear, is the new tail lamps that were shown on the European model. This vehicle is equipped with the same tail lamps featured on the 2015 to 2018 models.

We do know that press had a chance to drive the 2019 Jeep Renegade at the FCA What’s New media event at the Chelsea Proving Grounds this past week. While we can’t leak any driving expectations or any specifics on the upcoming 2019 Jeep Renegade. We can say, that Jeep has been addressing the Renegade customers and it looks like the refreshened Renegade is all grown up.
