FIAT Argentina Brings New Special Edition Cronos HGT To Market!

FIAT Argentina has had a lot of success with the compact Cronos sedan. The Cronos is not only the best-selling vehicle for the FIAT brand but for the entire country of Argentina. FIAT is launching a new “buzz model” in a special limited number series. 

Built on the Precision trim, the HGT is highlighted with black exterior finishes. Those finishes include Gloss Black “FIAT” script logos, a Gloss Black and Chrome “HGT” rear badge, Gloss Black-colored grille, Piano Black-colored side mirrors, body-colored door handles, a new set of 17-inch multi-spoke aluminum wheels, rear decklid spoiler, and a Piano Black roof. 

Inside, there is a darkened theme that helps highlight the HGT’s interior. A black headliner combined with an eco-leather upholstery on the seats, and special “HGT” floor mats, help to make the syb-compact sedan seem more sporty. The instrument panel (I/P) is combined with Black and Gray colors with chrome appliqués, there is a new Uconnect multimedia system. There is also the addition of a digital cluster in the I/P and an automatic climate control system.

Power comes from a 130 horsepower 1.8-liter 16-valve E.torQ inline-four-cylinder engine and mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

In terms of safety, this version is equipped with 2 front airbags, stability and traction control, hill start assist, ABS brakes with electronic brake distribution, ISOFIX anchors in the rear seats, head restraints, and 3-point inertial belts for all its occupants.  

To promote the customization of the model, MOPAR has a new accessory package called the “Sound Pack”. The package consists of a 60-watt triaxial front and rear speakers with 60-watts of power (versus the standard 15-watts that come on the HGT) and an interior lighting kit for the front seats. The package has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of AR$ 28,000 (or about $250 USD).

There will only be 550 units of the HGT built for the 2022 model year. Customers will be able to choose from 3 exterior colors that include: Alaskan White, Monte Carlo Red, and Silverstone Gray.

The 2022 Fiat Cronos HGT 1.8 MT5 has a starting MSRP of AR$ 3,178,100 (or about $28,335 USD).
