Carlos Tavares's Wall Street debut: January 19th STLA (Stellantis stock symbol ) and Media Press Conference

I don't know what are the issues in Brazil. Down there FCA doesn't have as much issues as some or most competitors.
He talking about shutting the U.K. plants if ICE is banned by 2029.....

Carlos state Opel models are lower profit than PSA legacy brands, says he says the dealer network needs to be improved and retrained. States the pipeline is strong for Opel.

He refute a reporter suggestion that Citroen and Fiat overlap.

To some extent, similar price level but different customer base, different preferences. Besides Fiat has 500 family which is more similar to what Lancia had been.

Follow up question for Brazil.
A question about the dealers around the world.

It's GM's heritage. A lot of km0 registrations and will take the time to change that course.

Carlos says electric in Latin America will increase overall price of models, and many customers won't be able to afford it.
Carlos states '' who will pay''.....either higher taxes to fund subsides , or lower OEM eats the cost but offsets it by cutting jobs.
Carlos said the brands must be respected by dealers, must progress, must make customers happy.

Question about Alfa Romeo to ''full operation'', also second question about ''sister cars'' by Italian reporter .

And that's it for today.

Question about Fiat brand in the U.S.

Carlos state there something that can be improved, states the marketing can be improved, and talk about Joe Biden becoming the new United States President who will have a focus on efficiency.

On the'' sister car'' question he states they have mastered the ability make product on the same underpinnings without the customer knowing, and will be a key way of saving as long such sharing doesn't hurt a brand's direction.

It will be interesting to see that level of sharing for Jeep and Alfa Romeo. Nothing unique except for styling part. No brand has unique mechanical capabilities.

Yes it is.
Too bad for the other site, Biden have saved the Fiat brand in the U.S. plus the different American State laws about requiring massive payouts to dealers.

@Bili, what models do you refer to? Compass/Tonale, B-SUV or GC/E-SUV?

In which post?

EDIT: My post was about PSA level of sharing. Not FCA thing. If they will implement it to Jeep and Alfa Romeo. Not good way of sharing for those brands.

Ok, we'll see. I hope Alfa gets a great brand CEO, better from Europe as it's the brands home. Haven't seen much of the current one.

Ralph Gilles will remain the head of Global Design.

Giorgio Fossati will remain as the head Legal Counsel.
