Carlos Tavares's Wall Street debut: January 19th STLA (Stellantis stock symbol ) and Media Press Conference

An European reporter ask about China:
Carlos states he has a task force that find a new solution.
He states ''doing the same thing'' won't work and call both FCA and PSA performance ''disappointing''.

A Latin America reporter ask about the need to cut capacity in Argentina and Brazil.
Carlos called Ford closures in Brazil a ''warning sign'', about the region regulation but FCA's has done ''Stella job'' , but warn it could become unmanageable so nothing can be ruled out.

WSJ:
Her follow question was about brands and Peugeot.
Same answer as the presentation, Carlos states the savings gives a chance to invest in some brands that wasn't a priority. But he states the launch of the Peugeot brand in the U.S. will be the FCA Michigan team decision (Manley).
He also states there will be brand CEO's.
It's interesting but also annoying.

All of this was stated by some forum members here yet reporters always make "stupid" questions.

Carlos got a question from an Italian reporter about carbon.

He states the ''tank to wheel approach by governments is wrong, and ''360 approach that considers everything that contribute from the actual ride, and the materials of the vehicles is the correct approach.
He also says EV's start life being worst for the environment than ICE.
@TripleT

Carlos as Italy he called the merger a ''shield for jobs'' , and states certain models now make financial sense that otherwise wouldn't make sense.

A French Reporter called Fiat models old ,inefficient ,and too many jobs.........loaded question for Carlos..........

I must say it. French guy is a moron. About CO2...

What did he respond? :D

The presentation didn't reveal much.

Carlos states Fiat range needs to be larger.......
He also says there will be more new directions for the Italian plants.
He blast GM product planning of Opel vs Fiat Brand and said tough cuts had to be made to the Opel lineup.

Carlos said that FCA Italy will be CO2 compliant by 2022. Without Tesla. "You'll see", he said. For all of us here it's quite clear for quite some time but French reporter had pushed with his agenda that FCA Italy will not be CO2 capable. Carlos seemed annoyed.

A Detroit reporter is hammering about closing plants..........

He found his inner ''Sergio''...........blasted Mary Barra without saying her name (''couldn't run Opel profitable'','' leader of technology'' ) .

And he said that Opel had CO2 issues which is not present at FCA Italy.

As we know in the next 2 years FCA Italy brands including Jeep will launch a lot of electrified models. PHEVs, BEVs, but above all cost competitive P2 MHEVs which is a technology currently unavailable on any FWD based car.

Carlos talk about the importance local manufacturing of electric components and batteries.
He state the decision about UK Manufacturing will come in the next few weeks, and the importance of the Vauxhall brand (''warm to the hearts") .

Only politics may close plants. Something like that. If I got his right.

Carlos states Stellantis is ''open for business'' with Apple & Foxconn..............he didn't deny it.

Yep he got a follow up question about that............... ''if business model doesn't exist''.
Once again talk about Ford Brazil plant closures as an example.

Listening Tavares as Peugeot CEO was boring. He was way to political. It seems that John had said to him to be more open.

I don't know what are the issues in Brazil. Down there FCA doesn't have as much issues as some or most competitors.

Breaking news: Richard Palmer will be the CFO of Stellantis (SEC filing).
