A lot different than the Airflow Vision Concept... see Chrysler is not dead.

This will be the new EV built in Windsor...
It seems there is a lot of good news for North Americans while we in Europe got bonned. Well, at least petrolheds. But it ends like that when French run the show and at the same time you have more and more influence from Green parties.

I need to start thinking about outfitting my home with an EV port - have they standardized on the specifications for those yet - and look for Government bills to promote tax rebates if you have one installed (moreso than already exist).

Down $0.50 to $19.50.

I just want $TSLA to crash to $TSLAQ at this point and for this BEV fad to cool off.

No one would be doing this BEV stuff if Tesla's market cap wasn't idiotic - all these company's are doing this because they are thinking - "well hell, Tesla is a $600 billion dollar company, we need to do this I guess".

Everyone is saying this is for consumers, but most consumers outside of Europe don't really want to pay the $7K BEV premium. All these executives are lying in saying there is demand for pure BEV. They are LYING. Why? Because outside of geeks, normal people have a budget for their vehicle.

And I'm sorry, I don't believe the costs are going to be halved again - between the extra premium paid for electronic components, I don't see the batteries and required electronics continually becoming cheaper.

I don't quite understand what you're asking. The European and American automakers have standardized on the CCS 1 and CCS 2 (Combined Charging System). The Asians went with a different system called CHAdeMO. It is an abbreviation of "CHArge de MOve", equivalent to "move using charge" according to Wikipedia. The exceptions to this standardization are the Tesla Supercharger and the Chinese.

Source: Combined Charging System - Wikipedia

The CCS will be "future proof" for the chargers and backwards compatible for the vehicles with a CCS socket. However, anyone who has a GM EV-1 with those paddle connecters is screwed. CHAdeMO will slowly fade away the USA, but it will take awhile. If a person has an Asian vehicle with that setup, they should invest in a compatible wall box while they can. Almost all the level 2 home wall boxes are 240V AC, the same as an electric stove or dryer.

The first people you need to talk to is your electric utility company. They are often a source of deals and discounts for home charging.

I don't have such a catastrophic vision for Alfa as Bili has.
It was specified that the STLA Medium platform allows for RWD configuration, and in BEVs it's easier to shape the proportions of a car. However, the STLA Medium platform allows for less range than the STLA Large meaning that Alfas will be less suited for the US markets if they don't launch nothing in the STLA Large platform. It seems that they will make Alfa an european brand only, again.

I was hoping to know more details about future Fiats, but I guess that'll have to wait. But it's nice to see Opel and Fiat being talked about. IMO, both brands have the potential to sell more than Peugeot.

I'm not enthusiastic about it.

As you all probably know I'm all in for electrification but against 100% electric.
I am in the same camp as you. Not against electric, but see a need for different applications for different folks. Think Dodge 2024 gizmo muscle thing is smart, go all in on a halo car, redefine muscle without compromise but offer traditional stuff too. My Challenger R/T Plus is still in the driveway as insurance.

If they force EVs on everyone, governments may help make this actually happen.

Yes, let the Russians finish Nordstream 2, but cancel Keystone XL.
