Get Your 2023 HEMI® T-Shirt & It’s All For A Good Cause

Portion Of Funds Will Go To The United Way Of Southeastern Michigan...

April 26, or 4/26, is a special day for car enthusiasts around the world. It’s known as HEMI® day, a reference to the iconic 426-cubic-inch HEMI V8 engine that was introduced in 1964 and remained available through the 1971 model year. The engine was affectionately nicknamed “Elephant” due to its massive size and impressive output, making it one of the most legendary engines in automotive history.

To celebrate this special day each year, a new HEMI Day T-shirt is released, and a portion of the proceeds is donated to a worthy cause. This year’s T-shirt features artwork by Daney Chhang, a designer at the Mopar® Product Design Office. The custom graphic is big and bold on the front in orange, black, and white, and there’s a number 13 badge on the back, paying tribute to Dyno Cell #13 at Highland Park.

Dyno Cell #13 was one of four race dynamometers used by Chrysler in the ’60s and ’70s and was used by Tom Hoover and his team to test the 426 engine during production. The charcoal heather short-sleeve crew neck shirt is available in both men’s and women’s sizes and is made from a cotton polyester blend.
