CAUGHT: 2024 Abarth 500e Makes Public Appearance During Commercial Shoot!

New Electrified Performance City Car, Looks Good In Acid Yellow...

Over the past several days, the Abarth brand has been building up hype for its all-new upcoming Abarth 500e performance city car. There have been teasers dropped on the brand’s social media account, and a mysterious leaked photo showcasing the vehicle’s front end also popped up in recent days, and numerous fully-camouflage test cars have been coming out of a Stellantis Italian engineering building

But now, Instagramer (@carszturbo) who just happened to be in the right place at the right time stumbled across the new Abarth 500e completely uncamouflaged in public.

According to reports, it appears that Abarth was shooting a commercial for the upcoming electrified city car.

Finished in the awesome Acid Yellow exterior paint, that was voted by fans to be the launch color, the car looks a lot better in this series of photos. We can see the new sportier front-end treatment, with Abarth script text and the new “Scorpion” badge on the hood. A new body-colored honeycomb lower grille, Black roof, Black mirror caps, Abarth side decals, and Scorpion side badges are also present. Along with a set of handsome 18-inch aluminum wheels, the new details give the car a very sporty appearance over the traditional 500e.

The current Abarth 595 produced 177 horsepower from its 1.4-liter FIRE inline-four-cylinder turbocharged engine. The FIRE engine will propel the 595 from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.9 seconds.

However, according to recent leaks, the new electrified model might be sporting 200 horsepower thanks to its new e-motor setup. The current 500e has a range of 320 kilometers (199 miles), we believe that the Abarth model could be similar.

I am very curious about the powertrain. Will it even cross the pond?

I blinked and missed the live announcement. I don't know what details were released. There was another announcement from Abarth made today. Latin America will get an Abarth version of the Pulse powered by the T270 engine.

I think it's gotta be pointed out.

They straight plagiarized the living heck out of Dodges first EV announcement from last year's EV Day in July. And honestly...why? I'm guessing they're hyper petty over the Tonale/Hornet thing over in Italy? •_•
