Dodge's Fastest Two-Door Muscle Car For 2024...

Dodge has just unleashed a new beast onto the automotive scene with the electrifying two-door 2024 Charger Daytona Scat Pack. This powerhouse of a vehicle marks a significant shift in the muscle car landscape, blending cutting-edge electric technology with the raw power and performance that Dodge is renowned for.

Underneath the bold and aggressive exterior of the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack lies a revolutionary powertrain that seamlessly blends electrification with the raw power muscle car enthusiasts crave. This coupe’s heartbeat is a state-of-the-art 400-volt system, boasting two electric drive motors (EDMs). One is strategically positioned at the front, while the other resides at the rear, creating an all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup that redefines the Charger experience.

Launch Edition / eStage 2 Upgrade –

The Charger Daytona Scat Pack launch models, a limited-time offering, come equipped with the exclusive Direct Connection eStage 2 upgrade. This upgrade propels the coupe into a league of its own, delivering a jaw-dropping 670 horsepower (500 kW) and 600 lb.-ft. of torque.

This power is harnessed to provide an exhilarating 0 to 60 mph time of just 3.3 seconds and a quarter-mile sprint in 11.5 seconds, reaffirming the Charger Daytona Scat Pack’s status as the quickest and most powerful muscle car on the market – at least until the 800-volt SRT Banshee makes its debut next year.

Top speed for the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is limited to 134 mph.

Following the initial launch models of the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, the power level settles at an impressive 630 horsepower (440 kW). While slightly lower than the launch models equipped with the Direct Connection eStage 2 upgrade, customers have the flexibility to enhance their Scat Pack’s performance by opting for the eStage 2 upgrade at the time of purchase or anytime during the life of the car.

Powershot –

For those moments when you need an extra surge of power, the Charger Daytona Scat Pack introduces the PowerShot feature. Activating this function grants an additional 40 horsepower for 15 seconds, elevating your driving experience and ensuring an adrenaline rush at the push of a button.

Battery Pack –

The Charger Daytona Scat Pack’s power is derived from its 100.5 kWh prismatic battery pack, designed for maximum acceleration and performance. With a peak discharge rate of 550 kW, the Charger can harness its full power potential during intense quarter-mile sprints. The prismatic cell structure ensures stability and superior thermal performance, keeping the battery cool even during high-performance driving.

Charging –

Charging the Charger Daytona Scat Pack is a breeze, thanks to its compatibility with Level 3 DC CCS fast chargers. Recharging from 20 to 80% takes just over 27 minutes, providing approximately 8.1 miles of range per minute. This means less downtime and more time enjoying the electrifying performance on the road.

Range –

The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack offers a range of 260 miles on a single charge, making it a formidable contender in the electric vehicle market. However, when compared to its competitors, such as the 2024 Tesla Model S Dual-Motor AWD, the Charger Daytona Scat Pack falls short in terms of range. The Tesla Model S boasts an impressive range of 402 miles on a single charge, thanks to its 95.0 kWh battery pack. While the Charger Daytona Scat Pack may not match the Tesla Model S in range, it compensates with iconic muscle car styling.

All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) –

The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack sets a new standard for performance with its advanced all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. Unlike traditional muscle cars, which typically feature rear-wheel drive, the Charger Daytona Scat Pack utilizes dual EDMs – one at the front and one at the rear – to deliver power to all four wheels. This AWD configuration ensures exceptional traction and stability, allowing drivers to harness the Charger Daytona’s formidable power with confidence in a variety of road conditions.

Drive Modes –

To cater to the diverse driving preferences of enthusiasts, the Charger Daytona Scat Pack offers a range of drive modes, each finely tuned to deliver a distinct driving experience:

Donut Mode: Exclusive to the Scat Pack models, this mode enables the vehicle to spin only the rear wheels, allowing drivers to execute thrilling donuts and controlled drifts with ease. By disengaging traction control intervention on the rear wheels, Donut Mode lets drivers unleash their inner drift king or queen.

Drift Mode: Another exclusive feature for the Scat Pack, Drift Mode is for those who crave the exhilarating feeling of sliding through corners with precision and control. With three selectable levels of slip angle, torque is biased towards the rear axle, facilitating controlled oversteer. The suspension settings are optimized to encourage oversteer, ensuring a thrilling driving experience on the track or empty roads.

Drag Mode: When it’s time to unleash maximum straight-line acceleration, Drag Mode, also exclusive to the Scat Pack models, has you covered. By locking the front wheels and redirecting torque to the rear tires, Line Lock prepares the Charger Daytona Scat Pack for optimal launches, allowing drivers to achieve blistering quarter-mile times with Launch Control engaged.

Track Mode: Exclusive to the Scat Pack models, whether tackling a winding racetrack or a challenging mountain pass, Track Mode is designed to deliver maximum performance and agility. The adaptive damping suspension adjusts to provide optimal handling and stability, while the drivetrain and traction control systems are calibrated for spirited driving. Additionally, the race-prep system optimizes battery temperature for prolonged track sessions, ensuring consistent performance lap after lap.

With these versatile drive modes at their disposal, drivers can tailor the Charger Daytona Scat Pack’s performance to suit their preferences and driving conditions, whether they’re seeking adrenaline-pumping acceleration, precise cornering, or all-weather confidence on the road.

Track Pack –

For enthusiasts seeking an extra layer of performance from their 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, Dodge offers the optional Track Pack package. This comprehensive package introduces a suite of high-performance features designed to enhance the Charger Daytona’s capabilities on both the track and the open road.

Track Pack Features:

  • Red 6-Piston Fixed Front Calipers with 16-inch Two-Piece Rotors: The Track Pack enhances braking performance with larger, high-performance red calipers gripping onto substantial 16-inch two-piece rotors. This setup ensures consistent and powerful braking, crucial for demanding track conditions.
  • Fixed Rear Calipers: Complementing the front braking system, fixed rear calipers contribute to an overall balanced and responsive braking performance, providing drivers with precise control during spirited driving.
  • 20-inch x 11-inch/20-inch x 11.5-inch Wheels: The Track Pack equips the Charger Daytona Scat Pack with larger, staggered wheels, enhancing both traction and stability. The 20-inch x 11-inch front and 20-inch x 11.5-inch rear wheels provide a wider footprint for improved grip during high-speed cornering and acceleration.
  • Staggered Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 Tires: The Track Pack includes high-performance Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires with a staggered setup—305/35ZR20 in the front and 325/35ZR20 in the rear. This combination delivers optimal traction and handling for dynamic driving scenarios.

This level of precision allows for a more dynamic range of damping force, ensuring a smoother ride on rough roads, improved handling during aggressive driving, and a broader range of personalization in each drive mode.

Dodge was presented with an almost impossible task, the reinvention of the muscle car brand with two new power sources and yet keep the muscle legacy.
On first blush they have done everything possible and then some to do the almost impossible. To that, even the critics must applaud.
I love Dodge and will bend over backward to accept this new era and this different Dodge, which has, in fact, redefined the muscle car. Scat Pack, R/T, Six Pack models help uphold the muscle legacy. Thanks for that Dodge.
How many folks will be attracted to this new Dodge interpretation of the muscle car is the major question and honestly major obstacles exist, but major opportunities also exist with a different audience that defines performance vehicles with a different opinion that may answer these questions with a new Dodge in their garage.
Time will tell but Dodge has certainly given this task its best shot.
I’m still with you Dodge, still with you.

I really don’t mind the styling of this car, but i sure hope the production models have better fitting panels than this car, the hood is not lined up with the fender and neither is the gas/ charging port door. I wonder why the gas door is so big and wasn’t jumping at down a bit lower

Panels look fine to me

Odd and bland styling cues still bother me. I had issues with the front fender, but I was looking at my neighbors Rolls Royce coupe/fastback and the fender front is very close in execution to the Charger and it looks great on the Rolls. The.Charger does exude simple elegance, but it needs something to break the side to give it a performance character flare and be a bit less smooth and more muscular. Yea that gas cap does distract. Little things seem annoying.
As I stated, Dodge tried hard, from certain angles it is beautiful, but I’m still troubled at its blandness and size. Hope a more aggressive Challenger is right around the corner. Try harder Dodge so staying with you is easier.
