400-Volt Scat Pack Capable Of 0 to 60 MPH in 3.3 Seconds...

In a groundbreaking move, the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona signals the dawn of a new era for the legendary Brotherhood of Muscle. This latest Charger introduces an electrifying twist to the muscle car legacy, proudly donning the title of the first fully electrified muscle car from Dodge. Say goodbye to traditional tailpipe emissions and welcome the roar of the future with the Charger’s 400-volt propulsion system.

At the heart of the Charger Daytona lies a formidable 400-volt propulsion system, delivering an electrifying performance unlike anything seen before in the muscle car world. This groundbreaking system is powered by a high-voltage 100.5 kW battery pack, integrated with dual electric drive modules (EDM) positioned at the front and rear of the vehicle.

Harnessing the potent combination of electric power and muscle car DNA, the Charger Daytona electrified powertrain unleashes an impressive surge of energy. Both the R/T and Scat Pack models boast a max power output of 335 horsepower (250 kW) from each front and rear EDM, resulting in a staggering total of 670 horsepower (500 kW) for the Scat Pack model. The Scat Pack is expected to reach 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and to run the quarter-mile in an estimated 11.5 seconds.

This electrified powerhouse ensures instant torque response and blistering acceleration, propelling the Charger Daytona to new heights of performance.

But the electrified powertrain of the Charger Daytona is not just about raw horsepower; it’s also about versatility and customization. The Charger Daytona offers a range of performance upgrades with its eStage kits. The launch models will come already equipped with the eStage kits, this means that the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T arrives with a standard Direct Connection Stage 1 upgrade kit that adds 40 horsepower to reach a total of 496 horsepower, while the Daytona Scat Pack is delivered with a Stage 2 kit that offers an increase of additional 80 horsepower, taking total output to 670 horsepower. Future Daytona models will require purchase of Direct Connection Stage kits to upgrade from base models to Stage 1 and Stage 2 performance.

Charging the electrified Charger Daytona is a breeze, thanks to its advanced charging capabilities. With optional Level 2 wall-charging units or public charging credits available through Free2move Charge, charging the Charger Daytona is convenient and efficient. Equipped with a 400-volt propulsion system, the Charger Daytona can be recharged from 20% to 80% in just over 27 minutes when using a Level 3 DC CCS fast charger. This means approximately 9.9 miles per minute of charging time for the R/T model and 8.1 miles per minute for the Scat Pack model, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum enjoyment on the road.

I gotta say, the reveal video is cool! I'm still not an electric car fan, but the attitude in the video is exactly the right attitude to sell an electric Charger.

Well done!

Definitely not into the EV thing. But I do like the twin turbo ice engine version. That is sharp looking. I like how they reworked the hood for a full engine. The car looks really sharp. Reminds me of my 2013 charger. I do think a big mistake is holding off on the ice engines for a year. I doubt very much they’re gonna sell too many EV’s between now and when the ice engines come out. I hope it doesn’t kill the company with the low sales. And there’s also been talk about the ice engine version for law-enforcement vehicles, but nothings been set in stone yet. That’s a big market that need to keep.
