Jeep® Takes 2024 Wrangler “Famous For Freedom” Campaign Global

After Being Successful In The U.S., Now The Campaign Hits China, Japan, Korea, Australia, and More...

Jeep® is taking its iconic Wrangler to new heights with the global rollout of its “Famous for Freedom” campaign, originally launched last summer to celebrate the debut of the updated 2024 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler 4xe in the U.S. Now, this captivating campaign is making waves internationally as it accompanies the launch of the Wrangler in other markets around the world.

At the heart of the campaign is the spirit of freedom that defines the Jeep® Wrangler experience. Olivier Francois, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Stellantis, emphasized the role of music in capturing this essence, stating, “Music has long played a pivotal role in our rich history of advertising, and as the industry marks the 50th year of hip-hop, the Jeep brand has been granted the enormous honor of incorporating the elusive ‘California Love’ anthem track into our ‘Famous for Freedom’ campaign for our new 2024 Jeep Wrangler.”

This campaign marks the first time the iconic track “California Love” will be featured in an automotive commercial, underscoring the unique connection between the Wrangler and the spirit of adventure. Lucy McLellan, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing & Communications for the Jeep® brand, highlighted the campaign’s broader message, stating, “‘Famous For Freedom’ goes beyond a tagline. It’s a state of mind for our Jeep Wrangler owners, and this global campaign celebrates this community of dreamers and doers who seek to live freedom-fueled lives.”

Directed by Grammy-winning director Dave Meyers, the “Famous for Freedom” campaign captures the essence of the Wrangler experience against the backdrop of California’s vibrant culture and landscapes. Real Jeep Wrangler owners make appearances throughout the video, adding authenticity to the portrayal of the Jeep community. The campaign was created by the Jeep brand in partnership with the Chicago-based Highdive agency.

The campaign’s global reach extends beyond the U.S. to markets such as China, Japan, Korea, Australia, and more. By leveraging social media, online video placements, and integrated digital and print campaigns, Jeep aims to connect with audiences worldwide and ignite excitement for the 2024 Wrangler lineup.

Beyond its captivating marketing, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler offers unmatched off-road capability and a host of comfort and safety features. With available options like 12-way power-adjustable front seats, a standard 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen radio, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the Wrangler delivers a blend of rugged performance and modern convenience.
