Vin Diesel Gives Us A Quick Peek At The New Charger From Fast and Furious 9:

New Charger SRT HELLCAT Widebody Features Some Different Looks...

Over the last 18 years, the Fast and the Furious franchise has been providing thrills for car enthusiasts and alike around the world. While the movie franchise has become one of the most successful at the box office in recent years, the movies have gotten away from the street racing scene and become some wild action-packed heist movies.

While Vin Diesel’s character Dominic Toretto has been a favorite for Mopar fans since the first film. While his character’s hero car was a supercharged 1970 Dodge Charger, the Dodge and Mopar brands have been a huge supporter and sponsor of the films since the fifth installment (Fast Five), but helped supply some of the vehicles going back to the second installment (2 Fast 2 Furious) and even put in a bid to be the supplier of the hero car for Paul Walker’s character Brian O’Conner with the Dodge Neon SRT-4.

Since those days, Mopar fans have always been excited to see what modern Mopars will be hitting the screen, as well as what classic Mopar muscle cars will be featured as well. Some movies like the eighth installment (Fate of the Furious) gave us some early looks at the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon before it was shown to the public after members of the cast posted some behind the scenes video clips of progress on the film.

Well now, Vin Diesel has posted some video on his Instagram account that shows his latest ride will be a Dodge Charger SRT HELLCAT Widebody. But it just isn’t any HELLCAT Widebody. If you look closely, the car features the non-Widebody HELLCAT front fascia from the 2019 cars, a different Widebody kit, a Demon-like “Air Grabber” hood, as well as the SRT Demon’s 5-spoke lightweight wheel knockoffs which look bigger than the Demon’s 18-inch versions. Clearly seen on the fenders is the HELLCAT logo.

Nevertheless, the video had the internet buzzing last night. Especially with Diesel’s Instagram account having over 57 million followers.

While the off-the-wall action doesn’t appear to be leaving the Fast and the Furious franchise for a more street racing based movie, we are sure people are going to flock to theaters to see it. Universal Studios, has set a release date for the ninth installment on May 22nd, 2020.
