UPDATE: Our 2019 Challenger 1320 Is Getting Close!

Our car is shipping later this month, but we had to make some changes to our build

In late February we announced on here and on our YouTube channel that we had ordered a 2019 Dodge Challenger 1320. While we didn’t publish it until that time we had actually ordered the car around the end of January, we chose the 1320 for a multitude of reasons, but the main reasons were the drag tech that the vehicle comes with coupled with the fact that we think it will be an uncommon vehicle.

We have many plans for the Challenger 1320, it will be used as a long term test vehicle, spend a lot of time at the drag strip, be modified, and all of it will be captured on video to share with all of you. While our website has grown substantially since we launched just under a year ago (last month we hit over 1 million hits for the month), we now aim to grow our YouTube channel and the 1320 along with some other things in the works will give us the ability to make that happen.

Our Challenger 1320 Build Sheet

Our original order was Destroyer Grey with the Black/Ruby red interior. While Dodge will let you build the 1320 with a Ruby Red interior on their website we later found out that was not to be the case. Our order hung in order limbo for a while until our dealer contacted their rep who had to change the interior to black for the vehicle to be scheduled. Upon finding out that I wasn’t able to get the red interior, I went ahead and switched the exterior color to B5 blue. While I like Destroyer Grey, I already had the car pictured in my head in that color with the red interior and didn’t want to look at it every day and think about the red interior that I couldn’t get. I have also always really liked B5 blue and being a lighter color should make it easier to maintain.

Last Saturday we talked to our good friends at White Rock Dodge (who we ordered the car from and I would recommend to anybody) and found out that our car was now in D1 status and is scheduled to ship mid-late this month. This means barring any unforeseen circumstances we should have the car in our possession and be creating excellent content for you by the end of next month!
