Chrysler Introduces An Equipment Change For The 2023 Chrysler 300

Limited Number Of Sunshades Are Available For 2023 Model Year...

According to our dealer sources, the popular Comfort Group Package option for the Chrysler 300 sedan has been updated for the 2023 model year. However, due to limited availability, the package will no longer include the power back sunshade option, which was a favorite among customers.

Chrysler has announced that only a limited number of 2,194 sunshades will be available for the 2023 model year, which will be allocated based on sold orders and the date the order was received. This means that customers who want the sunshades but do not want the other features included in the Comfort Group Package will not be able to purchase them separately.

To address this limitation, Chrysler has introduced a new VOIM code, JQ8, which will credit customers who miss out on the sunshades due to limited availability. The credit will be applied to the purchase price of the vehicle.

Despite the removal of the sunshade option, the updated Comfort Group Package will still offer a range of features designed to enhance comfort and convenience on the road. These include adaptive bi-xenon HID headlamps, blind-spot and cross-path detection, heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, and ventilated leather-trim sport seats, among others.

It is worth noting that this supply chain issue is not unique to Chrysler, as many automakers continue to face challenges in securing necessary components for their vehicles. However, Chrysler has made efforts to mitigate the impact of the sunshade limitation by adding an automatic-dimming rear-view mirror to the Comfort Group Package for the 2023 model year.
