Already a dominant force in Europe’s EV landscape, the Fiat 500e has garnered accolades and emerged as a top-selling EV in various European countries. Now, it seeks to capture the hearts of North American drivers seeking excitement in their daily urban commutes.

The Fiat 500e (RED) Edition epitomizes the perfect blend of performance and sustainability. Equipped with a 42 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, this electric powerhouse boasts an impressive 199-mile (320-kilometer) range based on the European WLTP cycle, excelling with a remarkable 249 miles (400 kilometers) in city driving conditions.

Under the hood, the 500e packs a punch with 118 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque electric motor, you are propelling it from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) in a swift 8.5 seconds. Overcoming range anxiety, the 500e’s 85-kW fast charger system allows for quick replenishment, providing up to 31 miles (50 kilometers) of range in just five minutes—a boon for daily urban use.

Moreover, charging convenience precedes an 11-kW AC-DC onboard charger and a combo 1 socket, facilitating easy charging at home or on the go. Users can conveniently schedule charging sessions through Uconnect or the Uconnect mobile app, ensuring a hassle-free experience.

Affordability, a crucial factor in EV adoption, remains a focal point for the 500e’s entry into the American market. Priced at a competitive U.S. Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $32,500 (excluding a $1,595 destination fee) and a Canadian MSRP of $39,995 (excluding a $2,095 destination fee), the 500e aims to break barriers and appeal to a broader audience.

This Red trim is a great pick for the introductory model. I thought the introductory models they started with in Europe were too over the top as far as trim. I would love to see an Abarth trim somewhere in the future, but the Euro ones tend to be pricey because of the drop dead gorgeous interior and other details.
