Collectibles: Matchbox Jeep® 75th Anniversary Series:

Great Set For Jeep Collectors...

Back in 2016, the Jeep® brand celebrated its 75th anniversary. During that time period, diecast car manufacturer Matchbox partnered with the legendary automaker to produce a limited edition series commemorating the 75 years that make up the history of the brand. Matchbox released a series of 8 historical Jeeps in 1:64th scale.

The vehicle set includes the following…

  • Jeep Wrangler Superlift
  • Jeep Hurricane Concept
  • Jeep Willys Concept
  • 1943 Jeep Willys
  • Jeep Willys 4×4
  • 1998 Jeep Wrangler
  • Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ)
  • 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk (KL)

We were able to find a few of these recently at our local Walmart to add to our collection. But Walmart is still offering a special edition 5-pack featuring several of the vehicles listed above. However, individually packaged cars are getting harder to find. The detail to the Matchbox 1:64 diecast is pretty amazing, considering how small they are.

For Mopar diecast collectors, this is a great set to put on display. While Matchbox cars tend not to be as popular as Hot Wheels cars for collectors, the set features some of the coolest Jeeps of the past seven-plus decades.

We happened to find a set of opened cars on eBay! for only a few dollars. This allowed us to take pictures of the models for you, while we keep our original set still sealed.  So if you have a chance to find or pick up one of these sets, we highly recommend it.
