Meet The 2018 Dodge Neon – The Sedan For The Middle East & Mexico:

The Dodge Sedan We Don't Get In The U.S. Or Canada...

Combining high levels of comfort, exceptional roominess and a comprehensive range of standard features and safety equipment as standard, the 2018 Dodge Neon – powered by a refined, fuel-efficient 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine coupled to a six-speed automatic gearbox – is a new breed of compact sedan. As well as offering exceptional value for money, it’s positioned far beyond the stereotypical compact sedan – exactly as drivers have come to expect from Dodge.

Both bold and contemporary, the Neon features the Dodge brand’s signature crosshair grille which is complemented by a rounded front fascia, alloy wheels and swept back head and tail lights that echo the muscular good looks of its big brothers, the Charger and Challenger.

The interior sets new standards with the use of high-quality soft feel materials with chrome highlights, the choice of a wide range of premium fabric options, LED interior lighting and automatic temperature control.

The front cabin is a fully functioning command center, featuring FCA’s award-winning UConnect infotainment system with Bluetooth streaming – so you can stay close to your favorite people, music and places via voice command or the simple touch of easy-to-use controls (including the cruise function) mounted on the steering wheel, keeping your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.

There are easy-to-navigate icons for the radio, climate, media, and available navigation, plus additional USB ports so that you can plug in your personal devices, enjoy your favorite tunes and charge them at the same time.

For this refreshingly different compact sedan, we have stretched the interior and cargo space to the max. The Neon seats five adults in total comfort, and standard features including power windows, electronically controlled automatic air-conditioning with air filter, power-adjustable door mirrors and height-adjustable driver’s seat with adjustable lumbar support make driving a real pleasure.

The rear seats split 60/40 and its enormously generous 18.36 cubic foot trunk will swallow up plenty of luggage or the weekend shopping with space to spare and features a low sill to make loading and unloading easy. There’s also tons of storage space in the glove box, center console, rear armrest, door pockets and on the back of the front seats plus can holders at the front and back, and a holder for your sunglasses.

The Neon is also in a class of its own when it comes to the safety and comfort of its occupants with an array of outstanding standard safety features, both passive and active.

It all starts with the modern chassis and front and rear McPherson struts that ensure a high level of comfort and driving stability. Standard features include ABS, ESC with ASR/MSR & HBA, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPM) and Hill Start Assist to prevent creep back on an incline. A rear camera and sensors help when parking and the passenger side door mirror can be flipped downwards when reversing so that the driver can see the curb and any children playing near the car.

Front airbags for the driver and front-seat passenger plus curtain and seat-side airbags make an important contribution to occupant safety. Add to these three-point belts on all five seats, force limiters and belt tensioners on the front seats and anchor points for child seats and the Neon’s safety levels go right to the top of its class. In addition, all the doors are automatically unlocked if any of the six airbags get activated.

Responsive braking from speed is of paramount importance in any car and so it is in the Neon, which delivers smooth, progressive stopping thanks to its highly efficient front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.

But safety is not just about a strong, rigid body structure or good brakes. Smooth power delivery and handling are also of prime importance. Thanks to the e.torQ four-cylinder SOHC 16V 1.6-liter unit mounted upfront, the Neon provides a vibration-free environment along with outstanding noise-insulation for smooth, quiet running. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and produces 110hp at 5,500 rpm with 112 ft.-lb. of torque at 4,500 rpm.

Newly designed light-aluminum 16-inch alloy wheels with 205/55R16 tires, not only provide precise handling but also a smoother ride and more comfort for the Neon’s passengers.

Available in a choice of six exterior colors – Bright White, Billet Silver, Maximum Steel Metal, Pitch Black, Redline Tri-coat and Granite Crystal.

The latest generation of the Dodge Neon is based on the Fiat Tipo Sedan. While the Dodge Neon is sold is both the Middle East and Mexico, there is a subtle difference between the two offerings. The Mexican Neon uses a similar UConnect system that is built into the dash, while the Middle East version uses a UConnect screen that floats out of the dash. Both versions of the Dodge Neon are built in Turkey at the Tofaş Assembly Plant. The same plant that manufacturers the Ram ProMaster City.

While the Dodge Neon competes with the Chevrolet Cruze and Ford Focus in the markets it is sold, there are no plans to bring the vehicle to the U.S. and Canada.
