The second-quarter sales results are in for 2021, and Stellantis is pretty happy. Despite facing many hurdles like a semiconductor chip shortage and ongoing shortages due to the pandemic shutdown, strong customer demand put Stellantis U.S. up 32% over the same time last year. According to Stellantis, fleet sales accounted for 12% of total sales, while retail sales jumped 27% for the quarter.
“The recovering U.S. economy and continued strong demand for our products drove unprecedented results,” U.S. Head of Sales Jeff Kommor said. “We continue to work closely with our suppliers to mitigate the manufacturing impacts caused by the various supply chain issues facing our industry.”
