Stellantis Mexico has reported its highest February sales in 15 years, with a total of 8,179 units sold. The Dodge brand stood out the most, with several of its models achieving their best February sales in years, along with other Stellantis brands such as Chrysler, FIAT, Jeep®, Peugeot, and Ram.
According to Carlos Quezada, Commercial Vice President of Stellantis Mexico, this success is attributed to the brand’s extensive range of products that offer performance, functionality, and versatility. The company’s recent product releases have attracted customers to distributors, resulting in improved sales.
Dodge was the top-selling brand with its highest February sales since 2008. The Dodge Attitude recorded its best sales month since December 2016, with 2,065 units sold. The Dodge Charger and Dodge Journey had their best February sales since 2008 and 2012, respectively. The Dodge Durango also reported its highest February sales since 2016.
Chrysler also had notable sales performance, with the Chrysler Pacifica selling 51 units, its highest February sales since 2017.
FIAT reported its highest February sales since 2018, with a total of 681 units sold. The new Fiat Pulse sold 535 units, while the Fiat Mobi and Fiat Argo sold 77 and 69 units, respectively.
Jeep sold 899 units, a 12% increase compared to February 2022. The Jeep JT (Gladiator) had it’s best February sales in its history, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee saw a 136% increase in sales compared to February 2022. The Jeep Renegade, Jeep Compass, and Jeep Wrangler also had steady sales, selling 207, 144, and 153 units, respectively.
Peugeot also had a positive sales performance, with a total of 548 units sold in February. The Peugeot 3008 and Peugeot Rifter recorded their highest February sales in history. The Peugeot 208 had an impressive 133% increase in sales compared to February 2022, and the Peugeot 5008 and Peugeot Expert also had significant increases in sales.
Ram reported a 116% increase in sales compared to February 2022, with a total of 2,507 units sold. The Ram 700 had its best February sales in history, while the Ram ProMaster reported its highest February sales since 2014. The Ram Heavy Duty sold 180 units, and the Ram Light Duty placed 696 units on the Mexican market.
This positive performance is a promising sign for the Mexican automobile industry, and it will be interesting to see how the market evolves in the coming months.
