Premium Western Pickup Has Even More Premium Touches...

As the 2022 model year quickly approaches, our sister site 5thGenRams.com has been trying to inform our readers about the changes coming for the 2022 Ram 1500 lineup. While RAM introduced a trio of new packages over the summer which included the all-new BackCountry (Big Horn & Lone Star), G/T Package (Rebel, Canadian Sport, & Laramie), and the 10th Anniversary Edition (Limited), 5thGenRams also broke the news about RAM’s plan to reduce the complexity of its offerings for several models for 2022.

But just weeks before production is scheduled to start, we are now learning about another new package coming to the popular Western-themed Limited Longhorn model.

RAM will soon announce the addition of the Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn Southfork Edition to the 2022 Ram 1500 lineup.

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because RAM originally used the name on its 2018 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn models. The Southfork Edition amped up the Longhorn model by adding a Canyon Brown and Light Beige leather interior, leather-wrapped A- and B-pillar grab handles, a Walnut-trimmed steering wheel, a Light Greystone suede headliner with visors of the same material, and L-O-N-G-H-O-R-N text name across the bottom the tailgate.

For 2022, the new Limited Longhorn Southfork Edition keeps the Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition formula and brings it into the new year with a few changes. This means the new 2022 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn Southfork will include the following features…

  • Falken Wildpeak A/T 275/55R20 OWL All-Terrain Tires
  • Full-Size Spare Tire
  • 20-Inch x 9.0-Inch Aluminum Painted/Polished Wheels
  • Multi-Function Tailgate
  • Premium Leather Bucket Seats
  • Suede Door Bolster/Leather Bolster Insert with Laser Filigree Detail
  • Mountain Brown Interior Color
  • Mopar® Bright Pedal Kit
  • Spray-In Bedliner
  • Bed Utility Group –
    • 4 Adjustable Cargo Tie-Down Hooks by Mopar®
    • Deployable Bed-Step by Mopar®
    • Pick-Up Box LED Lighting

According to our dealer friends in the States, the new package has a starting U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $1,295 on the Limited Longhorn.

All Limited Longhorn colors should be available with the package, those colors are Diamond Black Crystal Pearl, Maximum Steel Metallic, Billet Silver Metallic, Patriot Blue Pearl, Delmonico Red Pearl, Bright White, and Ivory Tri-Coat.

All four Ram 1500 powertrains are also available on the Southfork Edition, which includes the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with eTorque, 5.7-liter HEMI V8, 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with eTorque, and 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6.
