Ram Launches Teaser Site For New 2019 Ram Heavy Duty:

Ram Teases Us With A Few New Pictures...

RamTrucks.com has quietly released a teaser site for the heavily updated 2019 Ram Heavy Duty lineup. The site confirms that the trucks will indeed be released as 2019 model year vehicles, which HDRams.com (5thGenRams.com) and MoparInsiders.com announced in late September. There were also several other details hinted at on the site, so lets break them down…

Ram Teaser of Speaker Grille For Ram Heavy Duty Limited Models. (Ram).

Ram shows us an up close shot of one of the front door speaker grille housings in what looks like a Limited trim Ram Heavy Duty. We obtained pictures of a similar picture of speaker grille from a Limited about a month ago and they look identical to the ones featured on the Ram Heavy Duty teaser site. These are speaker grilles for the upcoming 19-speaker Harmon/Kardon stereo system, a new option for Ram Heavy Duty owners.

2019 Ram Heavy Duty Laramie Longhorn Dashboard Trim. (Ram).

Next Ram shows us what is clearly a dashboard trim piece for the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty Laramie Longhorn. Shown in the picture is the “Longhorn” branding mark burned on the wood-trimmed upper glove box door. It is the same design taken from the all-new 5th generation 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn.

Heavy Duty RamBox Teaser. (Ram).

Ram has also released a teaser of the RamBox for the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty. There are some changes compared to the 2018 RamBox. While it still clearly is the 4th generation truck RamBox and different than the ones in the 2019 Ram 1500, we see there is different hinge brackets on the side as well as the corner of the of trim of the RamBox looks more flush with the box itself. Also there is now a cover for some kind of cord that is now running through the side of the RamBox. The 2019 Ram 1500’s version of the RamBox, features a 115-volt outlet and relocated overhead lighting in the box lids to improve illumination. We are hoping that the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty will get these features as well.

2019 Ram Heavy Duty Limited Interior Teaser. (Ram).

Ram also gives us a teaser of the interior. This picture gives us a lot more answers on the interior. While we clearly see the center console is the same that is in the 2019 Ram 1500 Limited, the seats are not. The 2019 Ram Heavy Duty will keep the same seat frames as the outgoing model. These seats are clearly the more heavily bolstered seats from the 4th generation Ram pickups rather than the 5th generation Ram’s less aggressive bolster seats.

2019 Ram 2500 Limited Front End Teaser. (Ram).

The last teaser photo is of the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty Limited headlamps and grille. Like the 2019 Ram 1500, the Ram Heavy Duty Laramie Longhorn and Limited models will have their own headlamp design. The text in the corner of the picture contains the text “Keep an extra set of eyes on the road”, hinting that like the Heavy Duty’s smaller brother the Ram 1500 it will get full LED Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS). What is AFS? AFS points  the headlamps in the planned direction the vehicle is traveling using steering wheel input to point light around turns, driveways and parking lots.

The header of the teaser site also states that the site is for the 2019 Ram 2500 and 3500 models. So we are expecting those models to debut in Detroit this next week. We believe Ram will save the debut of the 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cabs for a later date.

Stay tuned to MoparInsiders.com, all this next week as well will not only be covering the unveiling of the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty trucks LIVE from the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), but we will also be showing the reveal LIVE on Monday, January 14th, 2019 at 9:10am Eastern Standard Time.
