New Ram Mid-Sized Pickup Set to Launch in Brazil
A Sneak Peek at the Upcoming Ram Pickup Inspired by the Fiat Titano
Ram is making big moves in the South American market, and the brand is preparing to unveil an exciting new mid-sized truck in Brazil. With the North American market still waiting for a replacement for the Dodge Dakota, Ram has been busy offering badge-engineered mid-sized pickups in global markets, including versions of Mitsubishi, Changan, and Fiat trucks. But now, it’s finally time for a new Ram-branded mid-sized truck to make its debut—this time in Brazil.

Ram Brazil recently released a teaser video showcasing the new truck, which is expected to be based on the Fiat Titano. Production will take place at the Cordoba Assembly Plant in Argentina, where the Fiat version is also built. However, the new Ram truck will feature distinctive styling to appeal to Brazil’s premium truck market.
In the teaser, we get a glimpse of the truck’s bold, unique grille with the R-A-M logo, setting it apart from its Fiat counterpart. The truck will feature modern LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and a TRX-inspired hood with marker lights, adding to its rugged appearance. Beadlock-capable wheels give a nod to off-road enthusiasts, and the truck will have a trim badge on the tailgate reading “Nightfall.” Additionally, the truck will feature a “turbo” badge on the hood, similar to the one seen on the Ram Rampage.

Our sources have indicated that this new mid-sized Ram pickup might even revive the Dakota nameplate, given the history of the second-generation Dakota being produced in Brazil in the early 2000s.
Under the hood, the new truck will feature the 2.2-liter Multijet II turbodiesel I4 engine, delivering 200 horsepower and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque. This engine is already used in the Ram Rampage and Jeep® Compass in Brazil. The truck will also feature the Fiat Titano’s 8-speed ZF-sourced 8HP50 automatic transmission, ensuring smooth shifts and a refined driving experience. Four-wheel-drive (4×4) will likely be standard, giving the truck plenty of capability for both on- and off-road driving.

This new Ram mid-sized pickup will be aimed at the premium market in Brazil, following the success of the Ram Rampage. With its bold design and capable engine, it’s sure to make a splash in the region. Stay tuned to MoparInsiders.com for more updates as the development of this exciting new Ram pickup continues.
