Jeep® Brazil’s New Commander D-SUV Continues To Rack Up Sales, Before Landing In Dealers!

Without a doubt, the Jeep® Commander came to revolutionize the Brazilian market. In 15 days after its official launch, the new SUV already has already surprised Jeep with its numbers. The biggest and most sophisticated Jeep ever produced in Brazil beat the 7,000 units sold as of Friday, September 10th, 2021. In a short time, the model has already conquered impressive records and is the most sold in a pre-sale of the brand in the country. It is worth remembering that the commercial action began on Thursday, August 26th at 1:00 p.m. By the end of the first day, more than 2,800 vehicles had already been purchased.

The Commander has arrived to set a new direction for the D-SUV category. “Even in a short time, we already see that the Commander is on the right path to lead its segment. The SUV does not stop surprising us and is a real success, with new numbers that prove it every day, something never seen in the history of Jeep in Brazil, and we will keep growing, as the action continues until October 7th. It is noteworthy that we are talking about a model that customers have not yet seen physically, which only proves the confidence that customers have in the Jeep brand”, says Everton Kurdejak, Director of Commercial Operations for Jeep Brazil.

While being based on a stretched version of the Compass architecture, interior space is not lacking in the new Commander. There are three rows of seats, seven seats in total, and one of the largest rear cargo spaces in the category with 1,760 liters (62.15 cubic feet) with the seats down, 661 liters (23.3 cubic feet) with the five-passenger configuration, and 233 liters (7.8 cubic feet) with all seven seats up – the largest volume with seven passengers for the segment. In addition, the model also has a surprising storage space of 31 liters of volume.

The Commander fits smack dab in the middle between the global Jeep Compass and the Chinese market Grand Commander. Above you can see the true size of the Commander when it is compared to the Compass (MP), Grand Commander (K8), and Cherokee (KL).

With the complete versions (pre-ordered in factory configurations), the Limited and Overland with the choice between a flex-fuel engine with 4×2 configuration or a turbodiesel with 4×4 capability, the Jeep Commander has seven full-size seats distributed amongst three rows, with plenty of space and comfort for most adults. It also has its own personality and features a premium feel and finish and is aimed at a more premium line of customers than its Compass sibling.

The all-new Jeep Commander comes very well equipped as standard on all versions with autonomous steering technologies highly valued by customers in the premium segment. It features Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), collision alert with automatic braking, blind-spot and cross-traffic detection, lane change alert, emergency braking for pedestrians, cyclists, or motorcyclists, driver fatigue detector, speed limit sign recognition, automatic headlights, and park assist.
