A couple of weeks ago, we told you what was instore about the 2020 Jeep® Wrangler lineup thanks to some dealer information that was leaked out. Now, the Jeep® brand is officially releasing details on their new special edition Wrangler models for the new model year. So we thought we would take a quick look at the three special edition offerings for 2020.
2020 Jeep Wrangler Black & Tan:
The first one is the new 2020 Jeep Wrangler Black & Tan. This was the one special edition model we already knew all of the details about. Based on the 2020 Jeep® Wrangler Sport S models, the Black & Tan features a unique look with a lot of retro flair. The Black & Tan includes 17-inch Machine Granite aluminum wheels wrapped in a set of all-terrain tires, side steps, and Low Gloss Black badges. Of course, you can’t forget about the premium tan-colored soft top that also comes with the package.
Inside, the Black & Tan models feature the Technology Group. This equips the Black & Tan with a 7-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch thin-film-transistor (TFT) driver’s display screen, and dual-zone climate controls as standard equipment. Black & Tan also features a Wizard Black painted instrument panel and mid-bolster, as well as a set of Heritage Tan cloth seats.
Pricing for the 2020 Black & Tan package starts at a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $32,940 for the two-door model and an MSRP of $36,440 for the four-door Unlimited version. The Black & Tan package is available in all colors and is available for ordering now at your local Jeep dealer.
2020 Jeep Wrangler Willys:
The second special edition model is the return of the popular Willys edition. It’s the first time that the package has been available on Jeep Wrangler (JL), but should offer some amazing content and value to the lineup. Also based on the Wrangler Sport S model, the Willys edition features a limited-slip rear differential, Rubicon rock rails and shocks, heavy-duty brakes and 32-inch Firestone mud-terrain tires. Combined with Jeep’s Command-Trac 4×4 part-time, two-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio, help to make the Willys edition into a very capable off-roader.
The Willys edition also adds more flare to the already rugged appearance of the 2020 Jeep Wrangler. Features like a Willys hood decal, unique black 17-inch aluminum wheels with gray pad print, LED headlights, LED foglights, and a gloss black sport grille round out the exterior changes. The interior comes standard with a set of all-weather slush mats from the Mopar accessories catalog.
Available in ten colors which include, Black, Granite Crystal, Sting-Gray, Billet, Ocean Blue, Firecracker Red, Punk’n, Hellayella, Mojito! and White, the Willys edition has a lot of choices. The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Willy has a starting of $33,740 for the two-door model and $37,240 for the four-door Unlimited model. 2020 Jeep Wrangler Freedom:
These two new models will join a third special edition model, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition for the new model year. While Jeep did not release any details on the new Freedom model, they did send us a photo of the new package. The Wrangler Freedom Edition was last seen on the 2018 Jeep Wrangler (JK) model and featured military-themed exterior and interior design cues.
