Ram Mexico Unveils Limited Edition 2025 Ram 1200 Rebel
Midsize Pickup Gets Rugged Rebel Treatment
Ram Mexico has officially taken the wraps off the 2025 Ram 1200 Rebel, a special-edition midsize pickup based on the Laramie Crew Cab 4×4. This marks the first time the Rebel nameplate has been applied to the brand’s new Chinese-built 1200 series, and it’s arriving as a limited-run commemorative edition. Only 200 units will be made available in Mexico, making it a highly collectible offering in Ram’s growing portfolio.
With a starting price of $729,900 MXN (or about $43,500 USD), the 1200 Rebel blends Ram’s off-road heritage with midsize pickup capability. It’s aimed squarely at buyers who want a truck that looks tough, works hard, and still offers premium comfort and modest tech inside.
Exterior: Rugged Style Meets Familiar Ram DNA –

The Rebel treatment transforms the already capable Ram 1200 into something bolder. Up front, a large silver-toned “R-A-M” grille dominates the fascia, clearly echoing the styling cues of Ram’s full-size models like the 1500. The functional honeycomb grille improves airflow to the engine, while a combination of halogen and LED projector headlights, full LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), and fog lights provide strong visibility in all conditions.
This edition is offered exclusively in a striking Red Metallic paint scheme, further differentiated by unique “Rebel 4×4” side graphics, a chrome roll bar, and a factory bed cover. It rides on 18-inch aluminum wheels that add to its commanding stance. Overall, it’s a truck that visually communicates the off-road confidence its name implies.
Interior: Comfort for Five with Premium Touches –

Inside, the Ram 1200 Rebel emphasizes comfort and ergonomics without losing its practical edge. Full leather seating for five passengers, including a rear bench with a 60/40 split-folding design, ensures flexibility between passenger and cargo needs. Ram claims the rear seat can support up to 220 lbs (100 kg) when folded flat, and ISOFIX anchors are included for securing child seats safely.
To highlight its special status, the Rebel edition also comes with custom luxury floor mats featuring the Ram logo. Combined with a smartly laid-out cabin, the truck is positioned as both a weekday commuter and a weekend adventure companion.
Infotainment & Connectivity –

At the center of the dash sits a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It’s fully equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto™, wireless connectivity, and a built-in 10 GB storage system. The interface supports 11 different languages, and Ram integrates climate control and vehicle settings directly into the screen for convenience.
For audio, the system supports MP3 and MP5 formats, while Radio Data System (RDS) lets drivers see live information like station names, show titles, and song details. It’s a tech package that rivals many larger trucks in the Ram lineup.
Powertrain & Performance –

Under the hood, the Ram 1200 Rebel runs a turbocharged 2.4-liter I4 gasoline engine, delivering 210 horsepower and 226 lb-ft of torque. While not the brute-force HEMI V8s that American fans associate with the Rebel name, this engine is tuned for low-end torque—ideal for daily driving, towing, or crawling off-road trails.
Power is routed through a 6-speed automatic transmission with AutoStick® manual mode, giving drivers greater control in demanding situations. Two selectable drive modes—Sport and Eco—let owners prioritize either performance or fuel efficiency.
The drivetrain includes a part-time 4×4 system with a rotary selector offering 2H, 4H, and 4L modes. A manual rear differential lock is included for serious off-road situations, ensuring maximum traction when one wheel loses contact with the ground.
Off-Road Gear & Suspension –

The Rebel trim isn’t just a sticker package—it comes prepared for tough use. The front independent suspension with double wishbones and a rear solid axle with longitudinal leaf springs give the 1200 both stability under load and durability over rough terrain.
Stellantis engineers designed the suspension with specific tuning for Mexico’s rough roads and conditions, balancing ride comfort with payload handling. Whether it’s a loaded bed or an empty highway run, the setup aims to provide a planted, confident feel.
Safety & Driver Assistance –

Ram has outfitted the 1200 Rebel with up to 29 safety features. Highlights include:
-
Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)
-
Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
-
Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Hill Descent Control (HDC)
-

The truck comes standard with front, side, and curtain airbags, plus a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) to help keep things safe on the road.
Pricing Across the Lineup –

For 2025, Ram Mexico offers the 1200 lineup at competitive prices:
