Jeep® Avenger: Italy’s Best-Selling SUV of 2024

Combining Design, Versatility, and Performance to Dominate the B-SUV Segment...

The Jeep® Avenger (JJ) has secured its position as the best-selling SUV in Italy for the first seven months of 2024. According to Dataforce’s market analysis, the achievement highlights the European-produced and designed subcompact Jeep’s ability to cater to Italian consumers’ preferences and needs.

Leading the B-SUV Segment –

2024 Jeep® Avenger-e Summit. (Jeep).

The Jeep Avenger’s dominance in the B-SUV segment is a testament to its appeal. This subcompact SUV encapsulates Jeep DNA with its distinctive design and impressive versatility. Since its launch, the Avenger has garnered significant recognition, receiving seventeen awards from the international press for its innovation, style, and functionality.

The Jeep Avenger offers a range of powertrain options to suit different driving preferences. It is available with an all-electric version, the Avenger-e, providing a sustainable driving experience. For those who prefer a traditional combustion engine, a turbocharged 1.2-liter inline-three-cylinder delivers 100 horsepower. Additionally, the e-HYBRID variant combines the benefits of electric and gasoline power for enhanced efficiency. By the end of the year, Jeep plans to introduce the 4xe model, a hybrid with all-wheel-drive (AWD) off-road capability and versatility.

Jeep Renegade: A Strong Contender –

In addition to the Avenger, the Italian-built Jeep Renegade (BV) continues to make its mark on the B-SUV segment. Thanks to its plug-in hybrid (PHEV) 4xe technology, the Renegade offers an excellent balance of performance and sustainability. This technology is also offered on other Jeep models like the Compass, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler, enhancing their performance while reducing emissions.

From January to July 2024, Jeep secured the seventh position in market share, holding close to 4.5%. The Jeep Avenger’s status as the best-selling SUV in Italy clearly indicates its widespread appeal and the Jeep brand’s strong market position.

Looks the part at least, 4xE should be a welcome addition.

I'm hoping the next Renegade follows the same powertrain menu, EV, gas or 4Xe hybrid. This is not to suggest the same IC engine be used. The Renegade will most likely be larger and our driving conditions are different.

My guess it will be EV and HEV.... I like the HEV to be first.... Most people don't care if the engine drives a generator or a transmission.

Seem Smart could be pure ICE, fingers crossed.

Just like with the Dodge Daytona’s recent award, I’ll take this good news. I just posted a companion comment about legacy brand value and this news just reinforces that comment, Jeep is a major global brand, an American themed brand to note, one with incredible potential. Let’s sharpen our pencils and do the necessary work to revitalize our legacy brands. I proposed in my other comment a broad suggestive outline for each brand, but looking it over again, I bet many will concur, with constructive criticism I suspect, that the bones of revival are there as is the proof of the substantial value of each. The Chinese interest proves that clearly as do these reports on Jeep in Europe. Quick, get your pencils guys and let’s get this right.
No one should have thought this would be easy and the Europeans MUST learn to respect, value and give more decisions autonomy to their American partners if this is going to succeed as it is envisioned. I even must give Tavares some credit for staying the course, but an American CEO seems the best choice to lead this company. As a Mopar to the bone guy, I am so inclined to see the bright side here, but don’t abandoned ship, not now, just think Jeep and keep hoping that Dodge, Ram and Chrysler follow suit.
