Introducing The Ram 1500 Big Horn North Edition Package:

Package Only Available On Big Horn/Lone Star Crew Cab 4x4 Models...

If you happen to play with the Build & Price configurator as much as us, you happen to pick up on a lot of changes when Ram updates their website. One thing that recently popped up on the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 Build & Price configurator is a new package for the Big Horn/Lone Star trim level, called the North Edition package.

Available on 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn/Lone Star Crew Cab 4×4 models with either the 5-foot 7-inch bed or the 6-foot 4-inch bed, this new package gives the most popular Ram package a sporty offroad look for a budget friendly price. The North Edition package takes a bit of the Sport Appearance package goodies and mixes in some goodies from the 4×4 Offroad package, into one unique setup.

The North Edition package does require Big Horn/Lone Star Crew Cab 4×4 buyers to purchase the Level 2 Equipment package for an additional $2,400. However, this allows the truck to have features like the 8.4-inch UConnect touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, Class IV hitch, 7-inch TFT color display for driver information, heated steering wheel, heated front seats amongst a load of other creature comforts.

The North Edition package (sales code ASP) will set you back $1,395 U.S. on top of the Level 2 Equipment package. However, when you figure out that the Sport Appearance package is $1,195 and the 4×4 Offroad package is another $795. The only thing missing is if you want the skid plate protection that the 4×4 Offroad package offers, you can purchase it for an additional $395. In the long run, it saves the customer $200 from getting the 4×4 Offroad package with the Sport Appearance package.
