Auto show season is in full swing and while most shows continue to shrink in size, the Chicago Auto Show soldiers on for its 115th edition. The Chicago Auto Show continues to be one of the largest automotive shows in the country. Prior to its public opening on Saturday, February 11th, there will be two full days of media conferences on Wednesday and Thursday at McCormick Place in Downtown Chicago.
Thanks to the media schedule released prior to the event, we can see that Stellantis (FCA US) has two press events scheduled on Thursday, February 9th for both the Jeep® and Ram Truck brands. According to the release the Jeep brand will hold its event at 10:45 a.m. CST, while the Ram event will be held later in the day at 1:30 p.m. CST.
Both the Jeep and Ram brands are known for hosting big unveilings at the Chicago event.
Last year, Jeep unveiled its updated 2022 Jeep Compass (MP) for the North American marketplace. The mid-cycle action (MCA) showcased the Compass refreshed exterior and all-new interior. Although we don’t have any official announcements about what Jeep has in-store at the time of the writing of this article, we expect Jeep will be showcasing the all-new powertrain underneath the 2023 Compass.
The 2023 Jeep Compass comes with a new 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four-cylinder, a new 8-speed automatic transmission, and standard all-wheel drive (AWD).
