Over the past few years, we have written a few articles on the impressive Ram 1500 Minotaur, previously built off the 4th generation Ram 1500 Sport. These trucks always generate a buzz based on how high quality and impressive the Minotaur conversion is as a whole.
Starting with a Ram 1500 Crew Cab Sport 4×4, the Minotaur package from Prefix performance adds:

Standard was the 5.7 Hemi V8 rated at 395 horsepower, and 410 lb-ft of torque, optional was the 6.4 Hemi V8 rated at 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Want even more power, and Prefix would give it to you by supercharging that 6.4 liter Hemi to make over 600 horsepower.
Unfortunately, production of the Minotaur ended as the production of the 4th Generation Ram 1500 Sport wound down, to make way for the all-new 2019 Ram 1500.
“Obviously, this was very frustrating as the Minotaur trucks are amazing and we have many people that still want to buy one,” said Dolphin. “We have not made any final decisions on whether or not we will develop (a similar package) with the new 2019 Ram 1500, as it requires extensive design, engineering and tooling costs to create something at that quality.”

With the all-new Ram 1500 Rebel TRX coming soon, we think that it is highly unlikely that Prefix would invest in the R&D to build another version of the Minotaur as you will soon be able to buy a supercharged, widebody, long-travel Ram 1500 right from the factory.

It also appeared on an episode of the Prime Revolution TV show on the Sportsman channel.
