Looking for a classic Mopar with big-block attitude and vintage flair? Up for grabs right now on BringATrailer.com is a beautifully restored and upgraded 1968 Plymouth Sport Satellite Hardtop, done up as a tribute to the legendary GTX.
GTX Looks with Satellite Roots –

This car originally rolled off the line as a Sport Satellite, but has since been carefully transformed into a GTX-style street bruiser. It’s been repainted in a deep green hue with white GTX-style side stripes and a matching white vinyl top. It even rocks an AAR fiberglass hood with a Six Pack-style scoop (non-functional, but it looks the part). Fender-mounted turn signals, chrome bumpers, and bright rocker moldings give it that extra 1960s swagger.
Period-Correct Rolling Stock –

Rolling on Magnum 500-style 14-inch wheels with white-letter Goodyear Eagle STs, this car has the right stance. The unassisted steering and drum brakes keep it old-school, so you’ll want to plan your stops in advance—but that’s all part of the analog driving experience.
White Vinyl Bucket Seat Interior –

Step inside and you’re greeted with a clean white vinyl interior featuring front bucket seats, a lighted center console, and a green dash pad. Woodgrain accents dress up the dash and door panels, while black carpeting and rubber floor mats keep things practical. It’s got a classic AM radio, lap belts, and even a Sun Super Tach II tacked to the steering column. Below the dash, a trio of Sunpro gauges keeps tabs on coolant temp, voltage, and oil pressure.
Big-Block 440 Power –

The star of the show is the upgraded 7.2-liter (440 cubic-inch) RB big-block V8, breathing through a Holley 850-cfm double-pumper, Edelbrock Torker 440 intake, and an open-element air filter. Long-tube headers and an H-pipe dual exhaust with Flowmasters give it that deep Mopar growl. Supporting mods include an aluminum radiator, Mopar Performance orangebox electronic ignition, and ribbed valve covers.
The 440 sends power through a stout Torqueflite 727 3-speed automatic transmission, making this a turn-key cruiser that’s ready for the strip or Saturday night. It doesn’t just look fast—it is fast.
From Entry-Level To Tribute –

This hardtop was originally finished in Avocado Green Metallic with a green vinyl roof. The fender tag and VIN decode to a 5.2-liter (318 cubic-inch) small-black V8 car with buckets, console, air conditioning, and a white side stripe. Today, it’s registered in Alabama (a title-exempt state for vehicles of this age) and listed as a GTX on the paperwork. Mileage shows 46k, with 2k added since the seller picked it up in 2015. True mileage is unknown.
