Maserati Introduces Fuoriserie GranTurismo Ouroboros One-Off

Done In Collaboration With Fragment...

In collaboration with Fragment, a Japanese streetwear brand, Maserati recently unveiled a one-of-a-kind car during Milan Design Week this past week. The Fuoriserie GranTurismo Ouroboros was designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara, a street culture innovator who drew inspiration from the ‘Ouroboros,’ a gnostic symbol representing the unity of all things and the never-ending cycle of destruction and recreation.

The GranTurismo Ouroboros combines design elements from some of Maserati’s most iconic models, seamlessly blending distinctive features from a curated selection of Maserati cars from the past. For example, the front grill from the A6GCS Berlinetta Pininfarina, the side vents of the 3500 GT, and the covered round headlights that characterized the 1960s racers, such as the Maserati Tipo 151, are just some of the design elements that make this car truly unique. The new forged wheels are also inspired by the pioneering magnesium alloy wheels introduced by the Bora in the 1970s. In comparison, the connected taillight fascia is a direct reference to the ground-breaking design of the Shamal from the 1980s and 1990s.

Hiroshi Fujiwara, the mastermind behind Fragment, wanted to create a car that would be a cultural link between the various eras of Maserati design and the current GranTurismo generation. His vision was to connect the pinnacle of technology and performance that Maserati has today with the icons of style that have fueled the Maserati myth over the decades.

The GranTurismo Ouroboros is a stunning example of Maserati’s commitment to combining style, performance, and innovation. With its seamless blend of design elements from the past and the latest technology, this car is truly one-of-a-kind.
