FCA Canada reported November 2018 sales yesterday of 12,366 vehicles. In November, fleet sales were down 49-percent year over year, as FCA Canada continues its strategy of reducing its sales to the daily rental segment.
For the calendar year, Jeep brand sales are 4-percent above where they were this time last year. For the month, Jeep brand reported sales of 4,038 vehicles. The Jeep Grand Cherokee lead the way with 1,630 vehicles sold. It was followed by the Jeep Cherokee with 1,127 vehicles. The legendary Jeep Wrangler was in a distant third with 679 vehicles. The Jeep Compass was down 2-percent compared to last year with 518 units sold during the month. Dealers also sold 84 Jeep Renegade models during November.
Chrysler brand reported sales of 315 vehicles for the month. The brand was down 44-percent over last November. Chrysler Pacifica led the way with 251 vehicles sold, while the Chrysler 300 Series sold 64 units.
Dodge brand reported sales of 2,225 vehicles for the month. Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger sales were up 52 and 16-percent, respectively, compared with the same time last year. Dodge Journey took the steepest fall of 72-percent for the brand with 284 units compared to the previous November. Dodge Grand Caravan led the way with 1,343 sales during the month. A single Dodge Viper did find a home before the holidays, in the left over inventory from 2017.
Ram Truck Brand
Ram Truck brand reported sales of 5,679 vehicles for the month. Ram pickup sales were down 20-percent compared to the same time last year. The Ram ProMaster City also had a huge drop in sales, down 92-percent over the previous year with only 12 units finding their way off dealer lots. On a good note, the Ram ProMaster van was up 8-percent over last November with 280 units sold during the month.
Alfa Romeo Brand
Alfa Romeo brand reported sales of 78 vehicles for the month. Alfa Romeo Giulia sales were up 21-percent compared with the same month last year, with 29 vehicles sold. The Alfa Romeo Stelvio was the brand’s best seller with 47 units sold for the month. While 2 Alfa Romeo 4Cs left the dealer lot for new homes.
The Fiat brand was practically non-existent during the month of November. Sales were down 45-percent for the brand compared to November 2017. During the month, 16 Fiat 500 left dealer lots for new homes. The Fiat 124 Spider had a total of 10 vehicles leave dealer lots, while the Fiat 500X sales dropped 44-percent with 5 vehicles finding new homes.
In November, FCA México recorded sales of 8,108 units, best sales month of the year.

Alfa Romeo Brand
Alfa Romeo recorded sales of 24 units, up 85-percent versus prior year. Alfa Romeo MiTo sales grew 140-percent.
Chrysler sold 55 vehicles. The Chrysler 300 Series sedan was up 10-percent over the previous year.
Dodge sold 2,545 units in the Mexican market, up 1-percent versus 2017. Dodge Attitude, the sales leader of the brand, sold 1,718 units, a 14-percent increase compared to 2017. Dodge Charger sold 218 units, best November ever. Dodge Durango also increased its sales 50-percent, while Dodge Grand Caravan increased sales 7-percent over the prior year.
FIAT sold 816 units. Fiat Ducato and Fiat Palio Adventure achieved best November sales ever with sales of 102 units and 96 units, respectively. Fiat 500L, a vehicle with ideal proportions for the city, had a good sales performance in November.
Jeep continues its positive streak by registering 1,202 units sold, best month of the year. From January to November 2018, this brand has increased its sales 5-percent versus the same period in 2017.
Jeep Renegade, Compass and Grand Cherokee achieved best sales month of the year. Jeep Cherokee sales increased 36-percent versus 2017.
FCA ran Mitsubishi Motors Mexico recorded sales of 1,433 units. Mitsubishi Mirage sales rose 31-percent compared to November 2017 with 874 units. Mitsubishi L200 and Mitsubishi Outlander sold 389 units and 113 units, respectively.
Ram brand sold 2,033 units. In the Commercial segment, Ram ProMaster and Ram ProMaster Rapid sales increased 124-percent and 8-percent, respectively, versus 2017.
