Hot off of its 2023 “European Car of the Year” announcement from the Brussels Motor Show, Antonella Bruno, Head of Jeep® Europe has officially confirmed that a four-wheel drive (4×4) variant of the all-new Jeep Avenger (JJ) is scheduled for a 2024 release.

“It’s another strength of the Avenger,” Bruno said. “The two-wheel drive edition is as capable off road as a Renegade. But yes, the 4×4 will arrive, and when it does, it will deliver the ultimate capability. There is a plan; we’re going to launch the BEV and then the 4×4 will arrive in 2024.”

Shown at the Paris Motor Show, the Avenger 4xe Concept showcased an Avenger with 4×4 capability. The Avenger 4xe featured signature “Surf Blue” tow hooks, wider fenders, wider track, and exclusive wheel design wrapped with aggressive off-road tires. The 4xe Concept also had enhanced capability thanks to an improved approach angle of 21°, break-over angle of 20°, and a departure angle of 34°. On top of that, ground clearance was also approved to 200 mm (or 7.8 inches).

To help the Avenger 4xe navigate off-road, there is added protection with thicker cladding and even built-in LED off-road lights to help with visibility at night.

It also displayed a new lightweight roof cargo system concept that, with a special belt system, compresses the luggage on the roof and has scratch-proof protection along its entire length. The whole package was completed by an anti-reflective hood sticker and anti-scratch grille treatment for additional peace of mind when driving off-road.
We expect Jeep to reveal the new Avenger 4×4 model within the upcoming months.
