Dodge is paying tribute to the long and legendary history of the Dodge Challenger and Charger through its limited-edition heritage-influenced models for the 2023 model year.
Over the past few months, we have been covering the six heritage-influenced models announced so far. But for the first time, we are getting a good look at these limited edition models at the 2022 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.
Dodge Challenger Shakedown –
The Dodge Challenger Shakedown will be truly unique: only 1,000 special-edition models are planned for production: 500 Dodge Challenger Shakedown R/T Scat Pack (in Destroyer Grey) and 500 Challenger Shakedown R/T Scat Pack Widebody (in Pitch Black) vehicles will be produced.
Special-edition Dodge Challenger Shakedown models will come loaded with content from the Plus Group, Technology Group, Navigation, Carbon/Suede, and Dynamics Package (for Challenger R/T Scat Pack).
Unique features of the Dodge Challenger Shakedown special-edition model include:
- Legendary cold-air-grabbing Mopar Shaker hood
- Mopar Shaker intake
- “Shaker” underhood decal
- Red “392” fender graphics
- “Shakedown” spoiler graphic

The 2023 Dodge Challenger Shakedown special edition has a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $63,590 for non-Widebody and $67,490 for Widebody. That excludes an additional $1,595 for destination charges.
2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee –
A limited number of 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bees will populate the hive. The special-edition vehicle will see a production run of only 1,000, with 500 Charger Scat Pack (in B5 Blue) and 500 Charger Scat Pack Widebody (in Plum Crazy) vehicles planned for production.
In addition to Plus Group and Carbon/Suede Package content, the 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee special-edition model showcases a swarm of unique features, including:
- Super Bee exterior badging on the grille and front fenders
- Super Bee exterior graphics on the functional hood scoop and rear fenders (blue graphics with B5 Blue, white graphics with Plum Crazy)
- 20-inch x 9.5-inch knurled wheels with 275 drag radials (Scat Pack)
- 18-inch x 11-inch drag wheels with 315 drag radials (Scat Pack Widebody)
- Adaptive damping suspension with Drag Mode
- Black Mopar hood pin kit
- SRT hood with functional scoop and dual heat extractors

The 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee has a U.S. MSRP of $61,805 for non-Widebody and $67,300 for Widebody models. Of course, that excludes the $1,595 for destination.
2023 Dodge Challenger & Charger Scat Pack Swinger –
Only 1,000 each of the 2023 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Swinger and 2023 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack Swinger will be produced, both as Widebody models. Those seeking to recreate a classic green-on-green Swinger look can choose from F8 Green and Sublime Green exterior color options, with a White Knuckle option also available.
Challenger –
Starting with the Plus Group and Shaker Package content, the 2023 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Swinger achieves its retro flair through the following features:

- Black six-piston Brembo brakes

The 2023 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Swinger has a U.S. MSRP of $66,190, while the Charger version will set you back $69,690. Those prices exclude the destination charges.
2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona –
The 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona traces its lineage to a famous monarch of the 1960s and 1970s West Coast drag-racing scene: Willie “Big Willie” Robinson, who nicknamed his 1969 Dodge Charger “King Daytona” and used it not only in claiming victory at the drag strip but also in keeping racers on the track and off the streets. The 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona honors the original by bumping performance to 807 horsepower and pairing a Go Mango exterior with unique orange interior accents.
Only 300 of the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona “Last Call” models will be produced, all based on the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody in vivid Go ManGo exterior color. The 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona adds:
- Extra 10 horsepower that takes the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye from 797 to 807 hp
- Satin Black King Daytona rear fender graphics
- Satin Black hood and roof graphics
- 20-inch x 11-inch Satin Carbon Warp Speed wheels

2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost –
The original Black Ghost, a black 1970 Dodge Challenger RT SE (special edition) owned by Godfrey Qualls, ruled Woodward Avenue in the 1970s. Qualls’ 1970 Challenger quickly earned a legendary reputation for flexing its 426 HEMI-powered muscle on Woodward and then driving off mysteriously into the night, not to be seen again for months, leading to the “Black Ghost” nickname. Not simply a local legend, in 2020, Qualls’ vehicle earned a spot on the National Historic Vehicle Register and remains in the Qualls family to this day.
Only 300 of the 2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost “Last Call” models will be produced. All 300 will be Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody vehicles in Pitch Black exterior color.
