2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody Models Now Arriving In Dealers:

The All-New Naturally Aspirated Widebody Is Showing Up In Dealer Inventories...

For the past week and a half, Dodge dealers have been taking in new 2019 inventory of Dodge Chargers and Dodge Challengers. Over the summer we talked a lot about the all-new 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody. Well now, the 485 horsepower 6.4-liter HEMI SRT V8 powered beast is now showing up in showrooms.

With the R/T Scat Pack Widebody model, it turns the 485 horsepower Challenger into a great canyon carver. For the R/T Scat Pack Widebody, SRT engineers completely retuned the suspension to make it specifically unique than the rest of the Challenger Widebody models. The car now features stiffer front springs, retuned shock absorbers, larger front and rear sway bars and a high-performance adaptive damping suspension.

To set the R/T Scat Pack Widebody apart from the rest of the R/T Scat Pack lineup, the car gets the front fascia from the SRT HELLCAT models. This allows for better cooling and a bigger integrated splitter. In reality, it saved the company some money from having to design a Widebody splitter in the R/T Scat Pack’s standard front fascia, but it definitely sets the car apart from the rest of the R/T Scat Pack lineup. Instead of just slapping on a normal spoiler R/T Scat Pack spoiler on the back of the car, they did put the SRT HELLCAT spoiler on the car. Because the car is set up as more of a canyon carving car, the SRT HELLCAT spoiler adds more downforce than the standard R/T Scat Pack spoiler.

The Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody adds:

  • SRT-tuned chassis, featuring stiffer front springs, retuned shock absorbers and larger sway bars in both front and rear
  • SRT-tuned high-performance adaptive damping suspension
  • Front fascia with integrated splitter optimizes airflow to the cooling modules without compromising vehicle balance
  • Rear spoiler from the HELLCAT helps to deliver responsive and balanced handling

As a result, the R/T Scat Pack Widebody delivers its best on-road and on-track performance ever, with an improvement of close to 2 seconds per lap or 12 car lengths compared with the R/T Scat Pack. In a quarter-mile comparison, the new Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody gained .2 seconds – running 12.1 seconds E.T. at 112 mph.
