While the Dodge brand is simplifying its lineup for the 2022 model year, the 2022 Dodge Durango R/T looks to be adding an all-new trim to its lineup. Enter the 2022 Dodge Durango R/T Plus. Following in the footsteps of the popular Durango GT Plus model, Dodge looks to offer even more bang for the buck and lure some of the Grand Cherokee L’s more luxury-friendly customers to the performance brand.
The Durango R/T Plus takes the Durango R/T already impressive level of standard features and offers some the more popular options to a designated trim at about one-third the price over the 2021 model.

The Durango R/T Plus has a U.S. Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $52,225 for rear-wheel-drive (RWD) models and $54,825 for all-wheel-drive (AWD) models. Both prices don’t include the additional $1,595 for the destination charge.

Under the hood of the Durango R/T is the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine that produces a best-in-class 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. The HEMI is mated to a ZF-sourced 8HP70 automatic transmission. With the Tow N’ Go package, the HEMI Durango R/T can nail down 0 to 60 mph in the low 6-second range and do a standing 1/4-mile at 14.7 seconds @ 95 mph. Not bad for a vehicle weighing 5,313 lbs.
