FCA Canada Announces An 17% Increase In Sales For Q2 2022!

Chrysler, Jeep®, Ram, and Alfa Romeo Brands Show Increases...

Stellantis (FCA Canada) has reported its Q2 2022 sales numbers, with 47,184 units sold in total. The number is an increase of 17% when compared to the same period last year. Retail sales were up 18% when compared with the results from Q2 2021.

Through the end of June (2022), FCA Canada sales were up 4% with 89,771 units sold, versus the same period in 2021.

“I’m proud of the work our team is doing every day to counteract supply chain and shipping headwinds in order to deliver vehicles to our customers nationwide,” said David Buckingham, President and CEO, FCA Canada. “Demand continues to be very strong for our vehicles, as evidenced in the second quarter by sales increases for the Chrysler, Jeep®, Ram, and Alfa Romeo brands.”

Jeep® –

2022 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited High Altitude 4xe. (Jeep).

Jeep sales were amazing for Canada in Q2 2022 with 18,374 units sold, representing a 29% increase over Q2 2021. The Grand Cherokee and Wrangler, both saw record retail sales in Q2, alongside record Gladiator total sales of 1,708 units sold.

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe was the best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) in Canada and accounted for 20% of total Jeep Wrangler sales through Q2.

Chrysler –

The “Made-In-Canada” Chrysler minivans (Grand Caravan, Pacifica, and Pacifica Hybrid) remained the best-selling lineup of minivans in the country. Taken as a trio, their total sales of 3,227 units set a Q2 Chrysler brand minivan record and more than doubled Q2 results from 2021.

The minivan segment’s only PHEV, the Pacifica Hybrid accounted for over 1/3 of Pacifica sales through Q2 of 2022.

Dodge –

Leading the way for the Dodge brand in Canada was the Durango with 1,596 units, an increase of 30%. The performance marque only sold 3,436 units in Q2, a decrease of 30% over the same time last year.

The Ram brand managed to gain 8% in sales over Q2 2021, with 20,832 units sold. Ram pickup sales made up 19,426 of the total number of sales.

Alfa Romeo –

Alfa Romeo continues to show a slight increase in sales for the Canadian market, with a 2% increase over the same time last year. Leading the way, of course, was the D-segment Stelvio SUV with 213 sales for Q2.

The FIAT brand continues its downwards spiral into oblivion as the brand only record 19 units sold for Q2 2022. The was a decrease of 41% over the same time last year.
