Could Kaulig Racing Join the Truck Series with Ram in 2026?
Rumors Swirl About A Kaulig-Ram Alliance For A 2026 Craftsman Truck Series Entry

Kaulig Racing might be looking to shake things up again—this time by joining the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. According to a rumor first shared by The Daily Downforce, the team is reportedly considering a Truck Series debut in 2025, and the real shocker? They might be doing it not with Chevrolet, but with Ram.
Yep, Ram. The brand that’s set to officially return to the Truck Series in 2026 could be entering the scene even earlier—if the rumors are true.
Now, let’s be clear: Kaulig Racing has not confirmed this move, nor has Ram. But the talk has picked up enough steam within the NASCAR community that it’s worth keeping an eye on.
A Bold Move from Kaulig? –

Owned by Matt Kaulig, the team has made a name for itself over the past several years in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and has become a full-time player in the Cup Series. But diving into the Truck Series with a new OEM would be a major shift from their current setup.
Kaulig has had strong ties with Chevrolet and Richard Childress Racing (RCR) for years. Their engines come from ECR, and their shop sits right on the RCR campus. Ty Dillon, Childress’ grandson, drives Kaulig’s No. 10 Cup car. Jumping ship to work with Ram would raise eyebrows across the paddock.
Why Ram? –

Ram is re-entering the Truck Series in 2026, and they’re clearly looking for strong teams to represent their brand. Several names have floated around, including Niece Motorsports, GMS Racing, and Rette Jones Racing. But Niece has already shot down any plans to ditch Chevy. That leaves the door open for someone like Kaulig.
And let’s not forget: Stellantis is reportedly planning a bigger return to NASCAR with Dodge, potentially entering the Cup Series in 2028. If Kaulig aligns with Ram now, they could be laying the groundwork for a future partnership with Dodge at the Cup level. It’s high-risk, high-reward.
Two OEMs, One Team? –

It wouldn’t be the first time a team worked with multiple manufacturers at different levels. Back in the ’90s, Petty Enterprises ran Pontiacs in Cup and Rams in Trucks. So, technically, it can work—but it definitely adds complexity, especially when Kaulig is so deeply connected with Chevy’s pipeline and support.
Still, Kaulig hasn’t been afraid to take risks. They made big moves this past offseason by hiring Xfinity standout Christian Eckes and bringing in Ty Norris as Chief Business Officer—a guy who has worked closely with OEMs at DEI, MWR, and Trackhouse.
Is It Real or Just A Rumor? –

As of now, it’s all just speculation. Nobody from Kaulig or Ram has gone on the record. And as we all know, NASCAR’s rumor mill is wild—especially when the offseason starts creeping in. That said, it’s a move that could make sense for both sides.
The 2025 season is right around the corner, and silly season talk is only going to heat up. Whether or not this Kaulig-Ram Truck Series deal actually happens remains to be seen. But it’s certainly one to watch.
Stay tuned—we’ll keep an eye on it.
