BREAKING: Windsor Will Begin Building A New Electrified Vehicle In 2024:

Better question is will people pay $100-120K for a dodge over the kia with similar power for less than half? They have to launch into a new generation with these silly prices which will not be easy on top of axing V8's and switching to EV and turbo 6's.

Dodge is going to take a pretty serious hit with this new stuff IMO and yes they will slash prices when forced to, and they will.
Where did that price come from?

1, You are overestimating price.
2 , Stellantis is not trying to win on price
3,Not going to compare KIA, to Jeep/Ferrari (EXOR)/ Maserati/RAM/Dodge.

We weren't comparing them to Teslas either

Not gonna happen with the current management and regulations.

New York Unelected Governor just announce it will Follow California in requiring all Electric Sales by 2035.

So that is officially half the population.

Stop blaming Management for offering products to HALF the US market. Watch Canada they are not far off.

California and New York can be handled like Europe. Let them buy overpriced EVs built in Canada or Mexico.

By way, what margin are OEMs making on EVs these days?

Hardly anything you say? That trucks are subsidizing all the investment? No shzz, who would of thought. And now they’re killing the golden goose by not investing in powertrain? Amazing, these guys are really on the mark with this strategy.

It never amazes me how internet forum people like to carry some Cxx’s water.

This is the cringiest thing I’ve ever seen -

The scariest thing is - they believe this. They really are this delusional.

I want to see a new V8 ICE powertrain out of this company that's not exclusive to an HD truck.
Steve Magnante keeps hinting that the hemi isn't dead and will still be around by 2030 (in the fun cars, not just trucks) and beyond. He does work pretty close to Chrysler so I guess we will see.

Ford was able to do it.

Reduce the volume of the V8 powered cars and introduce more and increase the volume of the PHEV and BEV cars.
As long as there’s a will, there’s a solution.

I heard from someone the same and the V8 in cars would only continue in the Challenger.

They wouldn’t be able to build enough V8, AWD, mild hybrid, next gen platform Challengers.

Unfortunately they’re going to have to learn this the hard way.

Individual brand heads have traded in their integrity and staked their careers to tow Tavares line.

No allow to talk much about Ford.. They are all in on Electric massive product push the next 5 years.

Right now the Ward top 10 powerplant outperforms the V8s... They will have to comeback when they have a fleet of EVs with something beyond the current V8 Architecture,

Lol @ thinking the unit economics for multiple EVs and 3L ICE + 3L ICE PHEV are better than a V8 MHEV with 2x7.2KW LiPO4 batteries. That would be really cool actually - one 7.2KW battery that runs the mild hybrid part, another 7.2KW battery for PHEV function. LiPO4 out of China is dirt cheap. You could find a way to fit in 2x7.2KW batteries in the pickup.

That's the single equation that defines the future. And their math is wrong.

Again, look at Ford GT500 vs Mach-E GT. Same performance with about 30% less of the price of the GT500.
Huh? GT500's runs mid to low 10's, Mach E runs high 12's. GT 500 would slaughter it even worse on a road course. The charger banshee will most likely run very high 8's and will be north of 100K, potentially even north of 120K. Dont shoot the messenger, once the Italians caught onto what the hellcat even was they started charging Ferrari money for them. Remember when it came out and was only $58,000?

They will also be charging a subscription fee for performance, MSRP aside, they are going to nickle and dime you on top of it. Tim even said so in that interview with autoline.

I forgotten where I read it, but around the 3rd quarter will come the "this will be our next product for the plant" announcements.
